David Limbaugh, author of "Persecution: How Liberals Are Waging War Against Christianity" He should have added his bother and conservatives to the title

I suspect ESPN "encouraged" him to resign.

You're very welcome, nutmeg!
It was my pleasure!
As I suggested on other threads, Rush was hired so that he could be fired. It happened sooner than expected, but he did this on his own. He was a target from day one.

Who owns ESPN? Yes, this is about a double-standard. However, the splits on this double-standard intrigue me. Rush does know sports; Jesse Jackson knows diddly but how to promote racism. Jackson's view is "respected" on everything from sports, to international politics, to ... shakedowns to..
If Spike Lee had been hired by ESPN and had said something about a "white" player; everyone would have looked away. Or, simply said to themselves "same old tired crapola" from a race-obsessed id groupie. I'll betcha some team owners are squawking big time -- and because they too know that race id politics run pretty deep throughout the teams... ahem.

and us evil liberals, well you know we'll be dancing around the bonfire, hand in hand, Ted, Hil, Big Dog, Gore, roasting the fat bloated drug infested carcass of Rush Limbaugh I predict a ZOT in the near future...
That said, your comments are incredibly hate filled for a liberal. I thought you are supposed to be the peace and love guys..

This is really going to crush him, he obviously considered this a dream job. Well, he should have known better than to ever say the word "black" unless it had something to do with referee's uniforms.
This was boneheaded, and I'd bet Rush would admit it, months from now.

The good news is I can go back too a real NFL show on FOX. Espn is horrible and I can not stand Irving.

You're right. I'm sure they suggested very strongly that his resigning was in everyone's best interests. sigh. But as usual Rush took the high road and said he resigned. I'm sure he won't blame ESPN at all.

Yes, they did win, WHY? MISSION ACCOMPLISHED! They freaking RATS got their way! Rush represents the TOP of the crop amoung republicans, and if Rush can fold without even raising a stink, than they are going to hit everyone they can! THIS IS JUST TOO DAMN UPSETTING!!

That does it. I have no respect for Limbaugh now. He talks the talk, but he ain't walking the walk. He should have never opened his mouth with this from the giddy-up. That was not the battlefield on which to die.

A black coach said the very racist thing about white baseball players. He was let off.
