WHICH MCCLINTOCK TO BELIEVE? TOM PROMISED HE WOULDN'T BE A SPOILER
KFI 640

On today's RECALL CENTRAL on KFI 640, they had the head of the "Lincoln Republicans" of Orange County. He stated that Tom McClintock had assured him that he would not stay in the race to play spoiler if it looked like he couldn't win. He promised that he would bow out before the election if his numbers didn't assure victory.
Other Cal GOP leaders were quoted as saying the same.
And yet, McClintock has vowed to stay in the race to the bitter end.
So, the question is ...
Which McClintock do we believe?

I know a goodly number of the McClintock supporters on FR--and they are generally the most thoughtful and civil of people. They, like me, only become uncivil then treated uncivilly.
I honestly feel the same could be said of most Arnold supporters.

(How ironic is it that Arnold turned out to be the spoiler?)

Then we could talk about his advisor on enviro issues, the enviro-whacko Robert Kennedy, Jr.
Making someone a top advisor is certainly an endorsement of that person and their views.
And it bodes very poorly for a Schwarzenegger administration.
To: pogo101
Because as you DO know, Buffett isn't running for office. Making leftists part of your team of advisors is WORSE than endorsing leftist candidates.
To: Roscoe
Arnold is already choosing Democrats for campaign advisers.Your answer is stricken as nonresponsive. The question was whether Arnold had endorsed any Democratic political candidates, as Riordan had done. Underlying point being that Riordan was more lefty than is Schwarzenegger. Having a few Dems out of scores or hundreds of "advisers" isn't nearly as disconcerting as what Riordan did. (Put differently: can you imagine the field day you would have against A.S. if it were discovered that he'd endorsed some Democrat? I think you'd be a little more irked than you are because he has a couple of Dem "advisors," yes?)

Who's paying for the ads? Any Idea?
The Bruce Herschensohn ad is a part of the CRA thing isn't it.
Some ads maybe starting as a result of the Indian money coming into play.

God could make monkeys fly out of your butt too, if he so desired.
What's your point?

Making leftists part of your team of advisors is WORSE than endorsing leftist candidatesNo. Making a few Dems part of your team of scores of advisors is not worse -- or, to get back to my original point -- not more "lefty" than endorsing opposing party political candidates in contested general elections.
You're entitled to your view. I just cannot believe that you wouldn't be far MORE up-in-arms if you had learned that Arnold had endorsed or given $$$$ to prominent Democrats, esp. recently. Sorry, not buying.

Well 'tock won't have that charge...... unless you count the Indian couple of million.....Quit playing dumb. McClintock didn't help finance the recall itself, and neither did the Indians.
Is that your best shot?

It started with "I'll hold my nose" and vote for Arnold and now its a total adoration for his very existance. Good point. The former position of our lib foes was a lie to let them exploit the fear of losing to Cruz to make their Wilson-Kennedy puppet appear to be an acceptable compromise. Now the RINOs are desperate to keep from losing those illgotten gains. Conservatives who see they no longer need to fear Cruz will return to their basic distrust for Leftist Republicans: RINOs have ever been fiends to conservatives and their values.

If you don't vote for Arnold, they you are voting for Cruz.Backwards. If you vote for Arnold, you are voting for the Cruz agenda.

Tellingly absent from your post is any defense this notion that having a minority faction of opposite-party advisors on board is somehow more treasonous to one's party than is ENDORSING opposing-party candidates. Wise.
He's a RAT, isn't he?
Is that a news flash? That Buffett is a Democrat? Wow, dude. Next you'll be telling me he's writing op-eds in the WSJ urging higher state property taxes. Thanks for the news!
By the way, that was from the FEC.
WHAT was from the FEC? Buffett's party registration status? See above.

So what's Tom's first act as governor... removing the Ten Commandants from all state property? No....Tom never said anyhting like that. Biblical laws would be if you inserted the Ten Comandments into the California code.

(It's time for Arnold to stop splitting the Republican vote and step aside for the good of the party)
To: pogo101
The FEC is the 'Federal Election Commision'.
Those are several donations by Arnold Schwarzenegger to a leftist Democrat.
Time for your mea culpa now....I'll wait patiently.
