[history]
In July I was interviewing a senior administration official on Ambassador Wilson's report when he told the trip was inspired by his wife, a CIA employee working on weapons of mass destruction. Another senior official told me the same thing. As a professional journalist with 46 years experience in Washington I do not reveal confidential sources. When I called the CIA in July to confirm Mrs. Wilson's involvement in the mission for her husband -- he is a former Clitnon administration official -- they asked me not to use her name, but never indicated it would endanger her or anybody else. According to a confidential source at the CIA, Mrs. Wilson was an analyst, not a spy, not a covert operator, and not in charge of an undercover operatives...

Must have been the same Senior Administrative Official that told General Clark to hush up?? What a pack of liars! Some heads should roll on this one, but they are all unnamed heads? Predicted this 20 mins ago.
Pray for GW and the Truth

Wendell Goler and John Gibson are busy spinning for the RATS and Wilson right now! We have no friends at Fox, believe me. They are no better than CNN! Schumer on now on tape saying the President doesn't care and is not looking into this and there should be an independent prosecutor.

Isn't that what Rush predicted (or knew) just before he signed off today? Rush is awesome!Awesome my ass.
National Review reported this fact two months ago.
To: Wait4Truth
I heard Schumer was making the call for one, but don't think he actually carried through with a live press conference.
That's just an assumption my part, however, as I think the press would have gleefully covered it.

This is like the Yellowcake Scam that they tried with Wilson to electronically lynch GW this past summer.
Now they are trying to electronically lynch Rove.

Rush indicated there were big surprises ahead; I'm wondering if this is one of them. He said he knew something he wasn't at liberty to discuss I heard that .. he said it was surprise us
nothing the Libs do surprises me

I was just going to ask if Schumer had his press conference. I hadn't seen anything on the Web about his call for an investigation during a press conference.
Looks like this storm is over before it began.

Yes, and there was a thread on FR this afternoon that Kerry has asked for a special investigation. He's always a day late and a dollar short.

I can't say it's true, but it is consistant. He never said that two administration officials told him that Valerie was in the CIA. He said that they told him that she recommended her husband for the Niger (apparently pronounced "nee-shaire") job. But if they told him that, didn't that imply that she was CIA? (Of course, it may have been common knowledge in those circles that she was CIA, but that doesn't mean it was legal for them to confirm it.)

Thanks! You, PooBah and others were right that he was the leak.
She is in no more danger as Langley analyst than you or I are.
Every left wing blog tried to make her appear as a super spy agent out on covert missions.

Look at
this link. An excerpt:
Mr Wilson said yesterday that the naming of his wife had parallels with the disclosure of the identity of the British scientist David Kelly, the source of BBC allegations that the British government "sexed up" an dossier on Iraqi weapons.
They're trying to pull the same thing that was pulled on Tony Blair. It's been the plan all along.

That's because the radio and other stations don't read Drudge often enough and aren't quite current with the situation.

You may laugh about it being a Clinton holdover but I think Clinton holdovers are GWs biggest weakness! That is what is called a self-inflicted wound! He should have cleaned house when he took office. He didn't. Thus, now he suffers from what they have done from the inside. The cancer is on the inside, eating its way out.

Evidently the claim that she was some sort of James Bond came from David Corn of the Nation (no suprise there to see something bogus in the Nation...)
From there, it just grew. Novak never said she was undercover but Corn did.
