I didnt see him as running away, I saw it as saying that he is his own man, not a puppet, and a serious contender ...

Cruz Bustamante did a credible job and surely convinced his Democratic base to unite behind him.i think you're right, but the bar was very low, in that greenie and hussyngton made sure that they'll only get the votes of the rabid and the droolers respectively.

Thanks for the new word. I don't think I've come across it before. "Desultory" also describes in part Arriana's debate style.
Definition: [adj] marked by lack of definite plan or regularity or purpose; jumping from one thing to another

I wouldn't count Tom out of this race in any way after tonight!!! He was TOPS!!!!!!!!!!!! He was good; we all knew he would be.
But with Republicans being only 35% of the voters in California he has no chance.

Arnold didn't screw up, he was the front runner before, he's the front runner now. If I was the only voter, I'd vote for McClintock, but I am not. It looks like Arnold can win and he seems pretty good.
I've gone back and forth, I'll trust Arnold's fiscal conservatism, as a guy who can win and not be too bad.

The cat sez, Tom won the debate, Arnold won the closing statements, the Communist should be publicly beheaded (I'm series!), the lisping Dixie Chick woman is really running for her continued career on the DC pundit circuit, and the bald headed son of a Mexican barber came out looking surprisingly good, actually (the cat hadn't seen him before.)

Tom: content 9, presentation 8, total 16 Arnold: content 5, presentation 7, total 12
Cruse: content 5, presentation 6, total 11
Green Guy: content 0, presentation 1, total 1
Arianna: content 1, presentation 0, total 1
Arnold could have done better on presentation with he hadn't let Arianna sucker him into her lengthy talkover exchanges.

Yes. Good thing some folks for Tom and some folks for Arnold weren't included in this format. They would have hurt their candidates.
Tom and Arnold are both winners in my book.

e too. I'm not sure what the problem is with getting behind this guy. I wonder...what would happen if every single Californian Freeper gave Tom a lil' money, campaigned for him, and voted for him? Freepers are inherently members of the political elite, in terms of their influence, knowledge, activism, etc. It certainly wouldn't put him over the top, but I bet you'd see a noticeable bump.

Infrastructure pay for itself? Camejo is dreaming. Liberals still think money falls from the sky like Manna. This is why they cannot be entrusted with positions of responsibility. The arts, fine.
To: South40
Major Garret just said Tom needed to center himself tonight, and didn't.
Folks, let's please keep the discussion as positive as it has been. Let's not bash either candidate or get into a downward spiral here.
Please don't post graphics here that slam on the candidates.

hardballer said the BustaMecha never mentioned Davis' name - not once. I know I don't recall hearing him utter it.

**Speaking as a woman, I'd advise Ariana to wear a scarf around that neckline to cover the wrinkles and sagging skin. Also get rid of the crow's feet around her eyes. Yes, that's cruel...but she's in CA and they all have plastic surgery **
I'd prefer to see her in a burqa!
