An Army Islamic chaplain, who counseled al Qaeda prisoners at the Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, naval base, has been charged with espionage, aiding the enemy and spying, The Washington Times has learned.

Capt. James J. Yee, a 1990 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, N.Y., was arrested earlier this month by the FBI in Jacksonville, Fla., as he arrived on a military charter flight from Guantanamo, according to a law-enforcement source.

But I would like to add that the muslim cult should not be allowed to exist in this nation

How would you enforce such a ban?

1. Required attendance at pork barbeque's, lets say once a month for those who have even been to a mosque.

2. Require conversion of all mosques to some other function.

3. Prevent conversion to islam in all U.S. prisons.

Just implementing #3 would cut out at least 90% of the problem and might even pass constitutional muster. Prisoners have been strtipped of many of their constitutional rights.

He studied Islam at West Point...

It's time to purge all forms of PC from the Military.

Our military must study the enemy in detail in order to be effective against them. This traitor took it a step too far and converted to the enemy.

If I wrote what I was thinking, I would be banned.

Somehow I find myself thinking about rope right now.

Nice stout rope.

I'm just wondering if the Army is smarter than we think. Do you think they could have guessed that he was a suspect, and then they purposely sent him while watching him the whole time.

With all "due" respect, if Islam is a Religion of Peace, WHY is it that in every major shooting conflict on the planet @ this time, there are Muslims involved?

And what if I didn't want to come to your barbecue?

2. Require conversion of all mosques to some other function.

And what would happen when Christians began allowing Muslims to worship in the basements of their (the Christians) houses?

3. Prevent conversion to islam in all U.S. prisons.

How? Conversion takes place in the mind. How do you propose to get in there?

Good catch. FT. Lee was a gathering spot for such Islamic agents during the 90s under the Clinton State Dept program of helping Islamic insurgents in Russia, and in Yugoslavia and China, etc.

Doesn't matter what ethnicity the guy is if he is viewed as a devout muslim. I'm probably giving the intelligence services too much credit. It would take long-term strategic thinking to train a West Point guy in Islam, have him convert, and send him to Syria to "study Islam."

He was almost certainly turned by Syrian intelligence once he got there. Assuming he wasn't a traitor before he got there.

Why honorably discharged? Why not administrative discharge or a dishonorable?

If the soldier has never done anything dishonorable what would be the rationale for the dishonorable?

It is time we start charging traitors with treason. Thats what should have happened with John Walker Lindh too. For what he did, they just charged him with supporting the Taliban and not treason against the United States.

Of course his comments are either sarcastic or born of mere frustration.

What do you think we should do with the traitor Mr. Lee -pPrison for life or hanging?

And so it goes....

But it's not PC to suggest that muslim chaplains need to be run out of the military.

THIS is a very good thing, and something I've been expecting. If the Armed Services are not already keeping a leery eye on Muslim members, this will do it.
I intend to send this report to everyone I know.

He moved to Syria...

He never should have been allowed back into the military and received a security clearance. There's a reason that they look into what countries you've been to and why.

[Capt. Yee had almost unlimited private access to detainees as part of the Defense Department's program to provide the prisoners with religious counseling, as well as clothing and Islamic-approved meals.]

Nice. More PC nonsense that will destroy this country eventually.

What ever happened to that attorney who was secreting info to that blind sheikh? Did she get off?

After they extract all the info they can get out of him, I'd hang him. He'd probably be better off anyway. No way would I want to spend the rest of my days in a military prison.
