Republicans to force issue of gay 'marriage'

Senate Republicans plan to use a hearing this week to force Democrats to take firm positions on same-sex "marriages," a prospect that could prove particularly dicey for some presidential candidates.

Sen. John Cornyn, Texas Republican and member of the Senate Judiciary Committee, scheduled a hearing tomorrow on the Defense of Marriage Act (DOMA) to find out if it has been threatened by recent court rulings.

Well, whatever happens, I certainly hope that gay marriage will ultimately be banned via constitutional amendment.

They make bald assertions that cannot possibly be proven right, that we all know are lies, and continue repeating them over and over until people who don't inform themselves believe the propaganda. They used to say "one in 10" for years as though it was gospel truth, until finally enough studies, polls or whatnot proved beyond all doubt that it was about 2% max. Now they're "everywhere".

I believe it was called "The Big Lie" technique in Germany.

Although homosexual propaganda has been around for 50 years, the current campaign started in 1989 with a very popular book within the homosexual community called: “After the Ball: How America Will Conquer Its Fear and Hatred of Gays in the 1990s” by Marshall Kirk and Hunter Madsen. This very popular book within the homosexual community makes a passionate argument that homosexual activists should implement an organized propaganda campaign to change public opinion to gain public acceptance to their behavior and obtain special rights, benefits, and privileges. Their rationalization for launching such a campaign is that people who do not agree with them are “bigots, haters, or ignorants”, and therefore activists can and should justifiably employ any tactic possible, including mass deceit, lying, slander, maliciousness, intimidation, violence, etc.

I'm not holding my breath. We don't call 'em the "Stupid Party" for nothing. Although, to be fair, the Dems aren't exactly Einsteins themselves lately.

I agree entirely. This is a states rights issue that should be decided individually by each state. Nebraska has exercised our right to do so and have amended our State Constitution accordingly. Leave the US Constitution alone.
