Cool, this may be the day where he joins the Republican party by withdrawing and getting behind the electable candidate.
If he keeps pushing this to the end he will become the McSpoiler and will have a very limited future political career IMO.

Cool, this may be the day where he joins the Republican party by withdrawing and getting behind the electable candidate.

Arnold Schwarzenegger's liberal social views will earn him 10-15% of Democratic votes. Therefore, we should be voting our conscience as conservatives. This recall is not like a primary election. There are 143 candidates, all who will receive votes of varying degrees. The media can't predict this race, because it is a grass-roots effort. It can be won with 35% of the vote. If all conservatives vote for Tom McClintock, he can win. Period.

So spare me the insulting posts on every McClintock thread. We're either conservatives, or we're not.

  Tom McClintock Arnold Schwarzenegger
Energy Contracts Will void on first day of office ???
Workers Compensation Will cut by 2/3 on first day of office ???
Illegal Tripling of the Car Tax Will repeal executive order on first day of office ???
Government Waste Will cut government spending May cut government spending

Prop 187 (Deny social services to illegal immigrants) Will act to enforce 187 ???

Hey "A CA Guy" I'm waiting for you to answer 3 questions.

1. What are (R)nold's total %s?

2. More importantly than that often times misleading number early in an election-what are his negativity numbers? over his No Opinion? Those are a more telling barometer, which is why Simon dropped out, his disapprovals were off the charts. Do you know what your (R)nold's is?

3. I'm told this is a liberal state, the only way we can get elected, as the legend goes, is to appeal to Democrates, what is the % of Democrates supporting (R)nold's No-Offending-Issues campaign? After all, his Tonight Show annoucing was brilliantly groundbreaking and a spectacular populist rallying. If Demos are to be appealed to, now would be their zenith. Care to answer these polling questions?

If I am going to see you on every McClintock thread, flaming your same Talking Points at whatever decent Conservative posted it, you won't be able to run away from these statistics. All of which were from before Simon dropped out.

I support McClintock staying in the hunt until after the September 17th debate. Salesmen who don't make pitches don't make sales. That's been a major shortcoming of the California state Republican Party leadership. They don't explain to the voters what conservatism is, and why it's better.

McClintock serves a useful purpose spreading that message, especially if he can push his numbers up and get elected. If he doesn't push those numbers up, at least Californians will hear a message they seldom hear in this state, even if we do have to go elsewhere to win this.
