Simon Supporters:
First let me say how gracious and selfless Simon was in stepping aside for the greater good of the party and state. I respect Simon for doing so and he may have gained an opportunity next year against Boxer. I want to invite you into Arnold's camp. There's a lot of misinformation out there about Arnold's conservative credentials. I wanted to set the record straight- for a complete analysis on Arnold's politics (hint: he is No "liberal"), please visit: The Inside Scoop.
This election should be focused on who can we trust to get California out of the economic mess we are in. California has the 5th largest GDP in the world, yet we are one step from our state bonds bieng classified as junk bonds. What we need is a canidate who will bring both businesses and jobs back to California. Someone that can put us back on the track of prosperity. Arnold's strong business exerience and talented economic council is the answer. His emphasis is on the right issue: create the condition for economic growth and job creation.
And please pass this Inside Scoop link on to any and all other Simon supporters who are considering joining Team Arnold. We need to back a winner and Arnold offers our best chance against Bustamante.

To all those who supported Simon: please be aware that the McClintock die-hards will post on this thread no doubt. They will recycle the old canards and insults: RINO, "just an actor", etc. We've heard this pettiness before- I urge you to go right to the source for information. Arnold's official site hasn't fully rolled out yet, so I invite you to check out our grassroots site:
Arnold for Governor. You can read an Arnold Candidacy FAQ and more about his conservative credentials there. Bear in mind, that as Hugh Hewitt said, the key is to elect the most conservative candidate, with the most realistic chance of winning.

Thank you for posting this. We should have a daily ping list for Arnold supporters, like the McClintock people have for their guy. And if anyone would like to start it please put me on it.

I joined your e-newsletter. I'll be glad to update Arnold news on my web site. Simon stated on tv today something like the objective is to "put an end to the Davis legacy." That is the message and Simon delivered it loud and clear today.

Thanks for the post. Californian by birth, Texan by choice, I'd like to see Arnold restore sanity to the left coast.

..please be aware that the McClintock die-hards will post on this thread no doubt.Yeah! so what! This is a political forum, not your candidates web site.
We've heard this pettiness before...
I think your remark was precipitous, bordering on the "petty".

We need to back a winner and Arnold offers our best chance against Bustamante. This is true and any who put defeating Davis/Bustamante first will acknowledge it.

Arnold = George Christopher 1966
McClintock = Ronald Reagan 1966.
(For those old enough to recognize true-blue conservatism)

exactly.

"...the responsibility for the death of your daughter [is] squarely at the feet of the Reagan Administration. Aren't they're responsible for that?"
-- Maria Kennedy Shriver (D-CA), August 19, 1992 "Hillary Rodham Clinton, [is] here in this studio to talk about her new book, which is really terrific actually..."
-- Maria Kennedy Shriver (D-CA), January 16, 1996.
"A lot of people are saying, by the Republicans saying that as the theme of their campaign, they're really excluding everybody but the people who fit into the `Ozzie and Harriet' image...where in this big image do people who are single mothers, who are blacks, who are people on welfare, who are homosexuals -- they don't seem to be included in this `family values'!
-- Maria Kennedy Shriver (D-CA),August 19, 2000.
No doubt the Arinold supporters will rant and rave that anyone who supports McClintock is "trying to put a Democrat in the governor's mansion". Ah, the IRONY.

Tick, tock, tick, tock....that is the sound of the clock ticking down the time until Tom and Peter follow Issa and Simon's lead. They will do it for the same reason as Issa and Simon. In the meantime, Tom serves a useful purpose in the present campaign, and for his, no doubt, future political ambitions. I'm sure many here at FR will be more than happy to support him then. Heck, if he were the front runner among the conservative Republican candidates, we would be supporting him now.

course not...
the mcclintock people are reflective of their candidate.
self centered, egotistical, and morally self-righteous... obviously the only "true conservatives"
Next thing we know, McClintock will be calling for a statue of the ten commandments in every state owned building...
Maybe he could even get Judge Moore to campaign for him in california so the "true conservatives" can drive away the "moderate rinos" they hate...
Of course they don't go look at the website. Too busy foaming at the mouth over the reality that is coming like a freight train.
Arnold will win.
Without them.
Their self-marginalization as "the only TRUE conservatives" will have completely removed their place at the table... and the conservative "moral conservatives only need apply " wing of the
republican party will go the way of the reform party...
They know it,
and are desperate to prevent the inevitable.
Politics does not REQUIRE compromise it IS COMPROMISE and those who don't (as ronald reagan did) compromise, eventually self-eviscerate...
and then cry martyr martyr woe is me...
I actually wish them well on their forty year journey into the political wilderness.
