Shepard Smith at JFK is saying some planes landed after the power went off, others were diverted but some landed. There were lots of foreign speaking passengers on those planes and no announcements being made over the intercom, airline and airport employees had gone home, no information to them at all...a total nightmare.

He says these foreigners seem to think they are going to go get a hotel room. Impossible of course.

Welcome to America.

And, now Aaron whats-his-name on CNN is trying to make a connection between the Blaster zero-day exploit and this power outage.

The last place I want to be stumbling around in the dark a public toilet in JFK.

At least you have a good chance of the bathrooms being clean at JFK...the ones in LaGuardia look (and smell) bad when the lights are on.

Good home video from the excavation of subway cars. Engineer/conductor telling them to sit tight for 20 minutes or so while they assessed the situation. Then evacuation of the cars (emergency lights were very bright in the cars -- probably from the train's batterys). Finally, coming out from one of the "cellar door" exits at street level. Will probably show it again.

I have been watching the coverage since it happened. Fox had the absolute worst coverage - especially David Miller who kept talking about how everyone was angry and upset. That was a lie and he kept it up until moments ago. Earlier, Brian Wilson said nobody has heard from the President and the President was in Waco. Well, the President was in California as all of us knew.

Then, on CNN and MSNBC, we get hillary blaming the whole thing on Bush. Pathetic. Larry King adds Richardson and Davis just to spice up the mix. I am totally p*ssed off...thanks for letting me rant! Bush will get the blame for this...it's already clear. Tomorrow should be a real lousy day.

And again .. she is bashing the Bush Administration and blaming Enron

HEY HELLARY .. SHALL WE TALK ABOUT ROBERT RUBIN'S ROLL IN ENRON?????

It is too much to expect, evidently, that any reporters on hand while she was spewing had schooled themselves about the history of Enron as it would be nice if someone asked her that.

What a sickening shrew. And she had that "I'm going to take care of this problem since this administration blew it" tone and she will not get called on it by the media.

I could scream.

Geez. It's not like they couldn't divert to Philly or something. It's only another 30 minutes of flight, if that.

I think the pyschologist probably wishes people really were reacting ---- it sounds like people are being quite calm or patient about the whole thing. That's Americans for you --- in other countries it'd be a big mess.
