Hannity station went dead for about 20 seconds. Said he had never seen anything like it.

I think I heard my cat cough when I looked at that newsbabe you posted. Charisma Carptener is not a newsbabe she's an actress from "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" and then "Angel", don't know what her next gig is but I will watch

they just said it again... 140 miners, some down as far as 4000ft. They are worried about no air getting to them, since the air is blown down to them. They said they can climb out, but some of them will have a 4000 ft climb to get out.

I was watching Paula, too... Man, she looks AWFUL without her professional team of make-up artists and hairdressers ;-) Well, I've seen worse ... but I do have to give her makeup team credit .. she looks totally different

Pure rhetoric. Of course she doesn't have anything specific to point out.
Actually, I'm glad Bush is squandering the great strides the Clinton administration made towards lax security, selling secrets, hiring spies, etc.

My prediction on the cause
After a six month review by Congress
It will be be found that this was caused by JimRob zoting the entire east cost for being DU trolls

Agreed, the producers are the worst, with their 10 second film clips shown a dozen times in a 3 minute interview. Plus they really overdo the makeup on their anchors and guest, at times the young guy who hosted for Shep Smith tonight(I forget his name) looks like a mime in pancake makeup.

Someone called this situation "Megazot." I like to think of it as the Great Megazot of 2003.

Anybody see a greenish streak in the area of Trenton, New Jersey? Must be McGreevey running for the bunker...

Uh, sorry, it was just a light-hearted figure of speech.

Hellary..."A few of us had tried to deal with this in the past..." One should note that it was during her silly-butt husband's administration that the security of our electric system was compromised.

Shipping was fine, buoy lights don't need no stinkin' grid.
Most of the piers at sensative facilities on the harbor have back-ups, and traffic looked normal except for additional Coast Guard and police patrols mobilized just in case. How do I know all this? When the power went out, the first thing I did was go fishing. ;-)
(No luck, just a couple of bumps, dock kitties were disappointed.)

"No they said 4000 feet on ABC... (they said it several times)"This sounds like the most important aspect of this news story. Please keep us updated if Fox News doesn't cover it.
To: meyer
Hillary is correct. They did try to deal with this. They had planned to hook up a power belt to Monica's mouth. Could have powered the entire east coast!

I was shadowing a reporter today at a CBS affiliate in Wichita today and we lost the local NBC station in the newsroom for about 15 minutes (probably since they lose the national network) and then all heck broke loose in the newsroom (not that I am complaining....I wanted to see it hectic and it was a slow day until about 3:30 our time).

I believe you!
I just don't think Human Beings have been down 4000ft in the Earth. In the Sea the record is like 25,000ft on the Trieste. They must be wrong....
