Hole_n_one, as always, thanks for your contribution.

Now the Canadians are saying it was a fire at a Con Ed plant that caused the outage.

"Cable" Fox is on here (I'm in PA) - still O'Reilly rabble rousing. I don't know about the local NY channel 5 (Fox affiliate)

While O'Reilly was doing his smug bit about having a generator keeping them on the air,he should have been filling it up.

Back on, and the volume is way up too.. Odd.

We just heard it might be *days* for some power to be restored!
To: Joe Hadenuf
CNN: It may be several days before power is restored to Cleveland and Akron

Yeah, they could be safety lights that are battery powered. Usually used to light corridors and are activated by optical sensors.

Now the Canadians are saying it was a fire at a Con Ed plant that caused the outage. I thought we already confirmed there was no fire at Con Ed? Was supposed to be a burning off extra fuel or something?
To: hole_n_one
I flipped to CNN just to see what they were doing and all I could think was "What did Paula Zahn do to her hair?"
To: Dr. Eckleburg
Yes, per last commentator on CNN they are backup generator lights.
