The outage happened just after I started leaving work on Southside. I have Hannity recording on my computer in the office. It will be interesting to see in the morning whether the 'net lost him or not.

Anyhow, this doesn't look like any big deal to me. Sort of like what happens when they call for a possibility of snow in our town.

I always look at the ceiling in an elevator, and so far in every case where it wasn't hidden by plastic lighting diffuser pannels, I've seen a hatch. (Yes I already know I'm weird)

If you got a 'wierd busy signal' then the phone service was NOT down, but they probably DID lose a digital switching center and have no way to route your call. If the phone service were dead, you would hear an empty line, or nothing at all.
