If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious and this is her reply A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen
Fellow Freepers .I bring you Logan!!!
Oh, that IS a wonderful Christmas present. Prayers for a speedy recovery for baby Florence.
I’m working tomorrow; hope all my babies do well.
Joining with you in praising God and continued prayers.
From Nana a few minutes ago........
G just called. Florence is in a lot of pain this time. He said they finally put her on a drip to try and get it under control. Poor precious baby. I hope she gets some relief from this soon.
Oh, poor sweet baby. She should have it under control soon. :(
“Thank you Lord for answered prayers and a mighty great Christmas gift for a wonderful family...”
Amen!
Our family, as a lifelong tradition, gathered together this Christmas Eve afternoon and evening to enjoy each other’s company, share a meal and exchange gifts. Tears of joy and pride trickled down my cheeks as I watched our daughters and our grandsons.
And those tears brought forth the need to lift up baby Florence and her family to Our Great Physician.
Prayers continue.

Merry Christmas - I hope you enjoy the attached picture.
They have Florence sedated pretty heavily today. For pain she is now getting Fentanyl continuously and Morphine intermittently every 2 hours or as needed. She's having a hard time catching her breath and needs to be massaged every now and then to "wake up". They may need to put her on a oxygen flood if she keeps having these DSAT issues. But luckily she's off the vent and breathing on her own. She does look so much better today than she did after the surgery. She did get a blood transfusion last night and her color is back. For 3 weeks old she's been through a lot already. Santa came to visit her and brought her a new snow-penguin-man. We've got a really good picture of Santa and Florence and will put it up later.
I was telling the nurses that we missed getting her home by Christmas so maybe we could shoot for January 27th - my birthday...they said they'd see what they could do. What a present that would be.
We've had endless offers from everyone wanting to help and we are so thankful, that Florence and Emelia are loved so much. And no doubt this is a Christmas that Ann and I have so much to be thankful for; so now I need your help. Spending time up here in the NICU we've seen first hand babies that were given up, abandoned, or have parents that are struggling with accepting their babies because of their health problems. So the next time you have a chance and you pray for us remember these little guys in your prayers too. They are our littlest miracles and always need an extra prayer. I've always said my babies were easy to love...and loved they are. If just for a small time all babies were loved as much as mine; this old world would be such a better place.
Seriously I don't know what we'd do without the prayers we've gotten. What a Christmas - our baby is on the path to recovery - Ann and I have an unyielding faith, a peace, and the strength to pull us through anything. Thank you all so much.
Our God is great - so are our daughters, and Florence will be home before we know it. Ann and I can't wait for you all to meet the littlest - she is amazing.
Merry Christmas!

Your are a precious spirit, Florence; and all who love, care, nuture and tend with gifts of love and healing are precious as well. Prayers up. . .for health and for all.
She is soooo beautiful; and Daddy is right; there are so many little babies that need our prayers; their moms and dads, too.
It’s very hard to have a sick baby in the NICU.
Thank you so much for the update and picture.
Praying for you and yours and all the little ones in our Lords care.
Blessings.
She’s beautiful. She’s a miracle and a Christmas Angel :)
