If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious and this is her reply A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen
Fellow Freepers .I bring you Logan!!!
And for her family.
UPDATE from her Grandma....
Hello
Just a quick update and a super BIG thank you for everyones prayers and positive thoughts. Samantha and Chris are so thankful for everyone.
Samantha is doing well, still alittle sore. She will be getting out tomorrow or Friday morning.
Layla is still doing good. She is on bili lights right now, so I can’t send a new picture today. (she looks blue :) She is still on a vent, but breathing almost straight room air, which is good. They are trying to wean her off the dopamine (for low blood pressure) so they can start giving her drops of mom’s milk. She is a fighter and is gorgeous. Has dad’s dark hair and eyebrows, but Sam’s long fingers. Her eyes are still closed, so we don’t the color yet.
I got to hold my grandbabies hand today for the first time, it was way more emotional than I ever imagined. She actually holds on. Truely an amazing thing.
They (and me till I leave, which I don’t know how I will) will be moving to the Ronald McDonald house here near the hospital, since their house in 1 1/2 hours away. I do not know the address yet, but will send it out when I get it.
Grandpa Brian is coming in Friday night for a week!!!
I will send out new pictures as soon as I get some.
You are all wonderful and we wouldn’t have made it through this without your support
Layla update at Post #13922!

Prayers, prayers! Hang in there, Precious! The world needs you and lots of people love you!
Oh my goodness!!! How very sweet. Very very big hugs to grandma and mom and dad...and very very big but ever so tender hugs to the new wee one.
Prayers continue for one and all.
What a tiny little angel face! I will keep praying for her, just like we did for Logan.
Hope this darling young man can remain with his grandparents. This is not right. They did all the work and loved/love him and now this to deal with. Where is the common sense in our courts?????????????????????????? Logan does resemble the grandson somewhat. Has a great smile and those smiling eyes as well. We’re praying this fella can stay with his grandparents who love him dearly. Please keep us posted.

Our family thanks you.... just as we did with Logan. It’s so good to see so many of you once again praying for one of our little ones. I’m sorry it’s necessary of course, but so very comforting to know you are here once again.
