If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious and this is her reply A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen
Fellow Freepers .I bring you Logan!!!
Praying for the baby of this hero. Just hope they keep Logan in mind and know of the fight he fought. Maybe this little one will do the same. We hope and pray.
I have a great niece who gave birth to a teenie baby girl this afternoon. The babys name is Layla Ann and she weighed in at a whopping 1 lb 6 oz. She was born at 24 wks. 1 day gestation.
Asking for prayers for Layla and her family. This brings back so many memories of our Logan and the strength that was given to us because of all who prayed for him.
As soon as I hear how shes doing, I will let you know. All that I know is that she was born at 4:33 and that she was stable after birth. They will not be able to see her until later tonight. Thats a wait thats almost an eternity.
Players post your prayers to Texas Termite.
Oh many, many prayers for Layla Ann and her parents. Also calling on the strength of little Logan who also came into this world fighting a battle. We are hoping and praying Layla Ann can tap into that strength and fight while the rest of us will pray, pray, pray for her.
Please God, help this newest little angel on earth grow strong to do Your work. Amen.
Thanks for the ping, Kathy.

At 7 this morning, Lalya was doing well. Her mommy says “She’s the most beautiful baby girl in the world” :)
I want to thank all for once again praying for a “bittie” born to our family. These little micro premies are special indeed.
I’ll keep you updated as I hear something. Blessing and prayers of thanks in return.
Our love....
Nana (and TT of course)
Thanks for the update, Nana. Sounds good! Praying for them.
I guess they know that Layla has to have a stuffed puppy, or kitty, or bunny, or something, right??? : )
Prayers up.
LOL... yes they know. In fact, a puppy is on it’s way to NC where Layla is. Logan’s mom mailed it this morning.
The baby is holding her own and she does hold on to her mommy’s finger when Samantha puts her hand in by her. The first 24-48 hrs. are the “honeymoon” period because Layla is still running on what her mommy provided. After that.. then the ride begins. So far, she is showing amazing strength, ... our prayers will continue that she is going to be one of those baby girls that does well all the way. Her mom is a little thing, but scrappy, so if this little one takes after “Sam”... she’ll do just fine.
Logan is here with me (he has a week off from school) and he said the sweetest prayer for Layla this afternoon. He’s still one of the most amazing children I’ve ever been around. Of course, I AM prejudice!! LOL
Thanks for being here Lucy. It means the world to us to have old friends stopping in on a new fight.
Hugs to all from our house to yours..
Nana

Hugs to all. and again, many, many thanks.
