If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious and this is her reply A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen
Fellow Freepers .I bring you Logan!!!
Prayers lifted.

Prayers for all, EG. And, prayers for Gramps to have a safe trip and back before the “coming out party”! Love the terminology! lol.
Prayers for the care and safety of you and Logan, and the family. God bless and have a great “spend”. : )
Thanks for the ping. Praying for all. : )
Thank you LucyJo. Logan and I always have fun together. He’s almost a carbon copy (personality wise) of my 2 sons. And I thought that the mold was thrown away!! How wrong I was :) Both of his uncles are teaching him the ropes and he’s like a little sponge soaking up all the fun. The 3 of them have boundless energy, love life and are loved by the world. And their GOOD guys.... It doesn’t get much better than that.
El Gato’s twin granbabies are due soon, and one of them just isn’t doing as well as the other. This list is so great....and it’s made great because of the love and prayers by you and others. Thank you.
Hugs....

“You might slip in a word for younger daughter to “catch”, she’s trying to get pregnant, but it’s been four months and she’s getting frustrated.”
Prayers will be said. Count on it. I prayed for 20 years for Logan’s mommy... and look what she got!! It took a lot longer than 4 months, but it worked :)

And I'll send a special one up that your daughter has a grandbaby for you as well.
I join in prayer for all these children - and the one(s) to be!
Praying Right Now, through our Savior’s Name and Grace!
Thanks for the pings to Logan’s prayer warriors.
All,
I’m overwhelmed, humbled and oh so grateful.
Will get another “interim” report tomorrow, I think, after daughter visits her regular OB. Another more detailed one on Monday, after the visit to the “high risk” pregnancy specialist.
I’ll keep y’all updated as I am updated.
For a while we didn't think we'd make it this far, but after your prayers started, things got better, much better. If Katherine's lungs have continued to improve, it's all gravy from here on out. But we'll take every bit of it we can get.
Again, thanks.
Keeping your family - especially Katherine and Elizabeth and their mommy - close in prayer. God bless all.
Hugs to Miss V - when she’s in the mood to receive them! : )

Oh she likes her hugs... from Mommy, Daddy, Aunt B, and Grandma...but not Grandpa. I guess I'm just too scary looking. I am by far the largest person of that group.
Don’t worry, EG, you aren’t the first Grandpa to be put to this test, and it’s certain you won’t be the last. lol.
One of my daddy’s great granddaughters used to do him that way. The way we remedied it was to love and hug on him everytime she was around and giving hugs to everyone but him. Just let everybody take turns asking Grandpa if they can have all of the hugs Miss V doesn’t want, and it’ll probably be no time before she doesn’t like being left out, and wants in on the action. It worked on the kids in our family. Ha.
I'm not, I'm just funning with y'all. Oh Miss V's attitude is real enough, but I've seen it before. She'll come around in her own time, and then will grandpa ever get the hugs and kisses! I can wait her out. :)
Today's update on the twins is both good and not so good. Blood flow to Katerine, good on Thursday. Lungs looking as good as can be expected for their gestation period, with both of them about the same now. Katherine still not sucking her fist enough for the doctors (or not seen to do so at least). Daughter's blood pressure up, high normal, but for her that's just plain high.
Doctors want to take the babies as soon as Monday. Daughter not happy about that. She thinks doctors are leaning too heavily on the statistics and Katherine's small size, and not enough on her activity and the other observable stuff. She's says they are treating her like a statistic. She feels they'd be better off where they belong at only 35 weeks, in her uterus, at least for another full week after Monday.
Final decision will be made after Monday's exam. If Katherine has grown and her blood flow is still good, and daughter's BP stabilizes, they'll hold off at least a few days, but probably not as much as a week.
Strangely, I'm not worried, and never have been really, except when I first asked for help from Logan's prayer warriors, and things improved so fast after that, the worry did not last long at all.
The only concern I have is for Katherine's short femurs. Other than her legs she's not much smaller than her twin sister, but those little legs are really short, proportionally. They don't know why or how that happened. Daughter seemed worried about her lungs, concerns about asthma, etc, and a little about her ability to suck and swallow. (A good reason to keep her cooking a bit longer if the blood flow stays adequate, but of course that's a big if. Like her older sister, V, K has only a single umbilical artery, while Miss E has the usual two. That normally is not much of a problem, but coupled with her small size, it is a concern.
The only long term concern I have is that she might have trouble walking and otherwise getting around if her legs stay in the proportion they are now.
Hi EG...
Just returned home and back to the internet.
Wow! Lots to soak up in your last post. The important thing is that they are keeping an eye on Katherine and will make the right decision when time dictates that it be made. Modern medicine has come so far..thank God. I know that their mommy wants them to remain status quo and try and gain more strength inside the womb, and let’s pray that that is what happens. If on the other hand, there’s need for them to be born now... the nurses and doctors in NICU are part of today’s miracle workers.
Guess we’ll have to do with Katherine as we did with Logan.. and that’s leave it in God’s Hand. We always said that whatever He intended, we would accept. We were blessed so, and we will pray especially hard for this little one.
As I type this, Logan is sound asleep in my bed. I have just finished looking (and re-cataloging) his first infant pictures..thru tears :) It all seems so unreal... those first few months. And now I look at this child and cannot believe that God has chosen us to entrust him to. Mercy. Words just can’t describe this feeling. He has a way of giving special babies to special mommies. Logan’s mom is and I’m sure your daughter will be to these 2. Little premies are indeed special in their own way.
We will be here for your daughter, the 2 precious babies she is carrying... and you know that we remain in prayer for them.
Our love and hugs......
Nana
