If you will, please remember this tiny baby in your prayers. Hes the grandson of a very dear friend of mine. Logan was born on July 25. His due date was in October, making his mommy 26 weeks along, being born 3 months and 3 days early.
Logan was 1 lb 9.4 oz when he was born and is now weighing, as of this morning, 1 lb. 8.3 oz. The little guy is now 12-1/2 long.
Hes a real trooper and is fighting with all his little body can fight with. His Grandma said that hes starting to recognize his mommy when she comes in the room and hears her voice. She said he tries so hard to open his eyes, and starts kicking his feet.
I asked my friend if there were any specific prayers, other than the obvious and this is her reply A prayer of thanks for the miracle called "Logan.
On a personal note, Ive read the emails daily from my friend. Ive known her for years, Ive heard her talking about her family for years but Ive got to tell you that Im SO impressed with how her children have all banded together in support. What an incredibly wonderful and loving family.
Father God, we lift up Logans little body to you. We pray that you can strengthen him hourly, daily, weekly, until hes grown enough to go home with his precious family. We ask for guidance for the doctors and nurses who are caring for him. We ask for strength for his parents and extended family. Thank you so much for the gift of life. In Jesus Name, Amen

Praying for Logan
Prayer for Logan
O God, to whom all things grow, and by whom they are strengthened when grown, stretch forth Thy hand upon Thy servant who is sick at a tender age: that recovering the vigor of health, he may arrive at the fullness of years, and always give unto Thee a faithful and grateful service all the days of his life. Through our Lord. . .
O Father of mercies and God of all consolation, who providing in manifold tenderness for the good of Thy creatures grantest the grace of healing not only to the soul but also to the body, deign to raise this sick child from his bed of suffering, and to restore him safe and sound to Thy holy Church and to his parents; so that all the days of his prolonged life he may increase in grace and wisdom before Thee and men, serve Thee in justice and holiness, and give due thanks to Thy mercy. Through Christ. . .
O God, who in a wonderful order appointest the ministries of angels and of men, grant in Thy mercy that they who ever stand ministering to Thee in heaven may also guard the life of this child upon earth. Through Christ. . .
May Jesus, the salvation and Lord of the world, be merciful and full of tenderness to Logan. Hear us, we pray, for dear Logan's sake. Amen.
Oh my! Big time prayers going up now.
Prayers offered...
May God continue to bless Logan and his family.
If you ping me twice, I'll just pray twice as hard.
Win or lose, this child will be held in God's gentle hands
Who we need to be concerned about in practical terms right now are Logan's loved ones who are in crisis right now. Say your prayers for this child and trust in His plan for us all, then do your part, whatever it may be, to make the world better, whether it be directly involved with this child or not. But also say prayers for this child's family and for all those concerned with his welfare. And for those in the vicinity of those people to do what they can for them. Logan's family will need to be whole and healthy to help him as he works through this. If they're burned out they won't be where they need to be when they're needed.
We almost lost my youngest child to a similar crisis six weeks after she was born. She even stopped breathing on the way to the emergency room. Fortunately both my wife and I had experience working on ambulances and we got her there intact. She remained in the hospital's infant intensive care for several weeks after that and it was the worst time I ever had in my life. She's now 19 and still the joy of my life. Having people make sure that someone in that situation is taken care of themselves will have a major beneficial effect on them and, when the child is in a position to need them for care, they'll be in a position to provide it.
Pray for Logan, then pray for them all, then include a prayer for yourself and for all of us. We are all His children and He hears our prayers. Pray especially for understanding of His plan and for trust in His wisdom.
Oh Tas....
Prayers for Logan and his family. Please Lord, heal this child and return him home to his family.
