Why, as a matter of fact, due to fantastic efforts of our own RONDOG, I was able to witness the event live! Wasn't that done in, like, 1917? Which voters is he trashing, the dead ones a century ago (who still vote Democrat, btw), or the voters today who are exercising their legal constitutional rights?

I don't know, but this recall was only possible because the voters were disgusted into not turning out for Simon/Davis in 2002. I bet that was the plan for Davis -- to run such a nasty, mean campaign that the voters would be turned off and not show up. However, the result of that was that the threshold for calling a recall was finally attainable. If the turnout for the recall is high enough, they won't be able to get enough signatures to qualify another recall.
