"Old Hoosier Predicts Catholic Church Will Welcome Last Believing Episcopalians"

If I were a biblical prophecy type person, I would be starting to think we were in the 10 years of the devil.

I would be willing to bet that the Southern Baptist Convention will not welcome gays and lesbians as ministers. Believe you can take that one to the bank!

Organized religion is dead if it openly welcomes the gays.
There would not be any point in supporting any organization that ignores the black and white print it claims to teach.

The Episcopal Church in this country, and the Anglican community worldwide, the great gift we bring to the world is we are able to maintain a wide diversity of opinions on various issues while holding our faith in Jesus Christ as central and the thing that binds us together as the body of Christ."Great gift"??
Satan sure is a great PR man!

The Catholic Church already has gays in positions of leadership, and we've seen the results in the past few years.

No doubt about it. Those that thwart God's Word will likely follow suit. After all, they are NO longer teaching Biblcially sound doctrine so there will be NOTHING holding them back to cave in more to our ever lowering social mores. From their perspective God's Word is EVOLVING to accomodate out social ills - not correc them.

Does anyone know of a net site where the individual bishops' votes are available? I'd like to see how my own bishop and others voted.

Fine, but they're not churches, they are covens.

"The Episcopal Church in this country, and the Anglican community worldwide, the great gift we bring to the world is we are able to maintain a wide diversity of opinions on various issues while holding our faith in Jesus Christ as central and the thing that binds us together as the body of Christ. So I think there's no reason for us to come apart," Robinson said.(emphasis added)
In the liberal's mind, sins are merely issues, not acts of objective evil.
Faith in Jesus Christ requires much more than the primary belief that Jesus is the Son of God.
It is also ironic that Robinson refers to the "body of Christ", a concept originally preached by St. Paul. I wonder how use of a truth revealed through St. Paul - the Church as the body of Christ - can so easily be used while ignoring another truth stated by St. Paul: "Homosexualists shall not see God"?
This event is merely proof positive of what happens when a church separates itself from true Apostolic teaching authority. A church founded by an earthly king (Henry VIII) and ripped from its apostolic succession by a queen (Elizabeth I), cannot sustain a path of truth.

Yeah, I'm holding my breath for the day we have a gay Pope! NOT! More narcissism - hey, just because I left my wife for another man doesn't mean I can't be a leader in my church. I have a lot to offer troubled youths under my care (??!! anyone remember what's been revealed concerning priests in the last two years?).
I hope this splits (no pun intended) the Episcopalian Church - curious to see how many people will follow the gay wing.

Gay Episcopalian bishop predicts other churches will welcome gays It's a matter of time. In 1930, the Lambeth Conference ruled that artificial birth control could be tolerated under certain conditions. All other mainline denominations eventually followed suit (except the Catholic Church).

In other news, the Episcopalians have elected a child molester, a Muslim, and an athiest as bishops stating the need to be "tolerant" and "open to diverse ideas" to form the church of Satan -- ah, I mean -- the 21st century. To display their new faith, they also rejected the Holy Bible and will now preach from the works of Marx, Hitler, and Mao, among others.

Why don't they just declare themselves the one, true gay church and the other churches can just ship them to the Episcopalians?

We welcome them at my church, just not in the pulpit or other ministry positions, as long as they're practicing. But they are welcome, practicing or not.
