Do you understand how out in left-field you sound to anybody who has done any serious studing of the Bible??? You might try a serious study of the Bible some time before commenting on things you think you understand, otherwise you just sound crazy. It may have occured to you that Jesus was a Jew and that his own ministry was to Jews. Jews, in those days abhored homosexuality. Paul depicted it as a filthy practice, a consequence of having abandoned God. Most homosexuals return the favor, with lesbians more likely to be atheists than gays.

Denominations were never intended by Christ nor his church. Denominations were created by man and man's doctrine, not Christ's. That's why so many denominations are accepting whatever comes along. No stand for the truth. If you don't stand for something, you'll fall for anything. That's exactly what is happening today in men's denominations. These "churches" are not led by Christ, they are led by men.

I take it you're a fundamentalist atheist? I'd gladly offer you a reading list of those who have held to the "infantile fantasy" you so casually dismiss, but then you'd be exposed to some of the greatest thinkers in the history of Western Civilisation, and such a list would be only be a specious appeal to authority, anyway. If they Bishop was gay and said--"look I am gay and it acknowledge I am gay and I accept it is a sin and I try not to sin" I can understand and maybe even accept the ordination if I was Episcopalian. But this man is living in a sexual gay relationship with a "life partner" which he preaches is not sinful. So as someone who is not religous but reads the bible because it is a foundation of Western civilization please point out to me where in the Bible is this justified. That the church leaders don't care says something about society.
