If they Bishop was gay and said--"look I am gay and it acknowledge I am gay and I accept it is a sin and I try not to sin" I can understand and maybe even accept the ordination if I was Episcopalian. But this man is living in a sexual gay relationship with a "life partner" which he preaches is not sinful. So as someone who is not religous but reads the bible because it is a foundation of Western civilization please point out to me where in the Bible is this justified. That the church leaders don't care says something about society.

We are all sinners to be certain. The qualifications as I read them in the scriptures would still exclude this man from being a bishop/elder but not because he is gay per se.
In that being gay only means he finds himself attracted to the same sex.
