Organizers of Pride Parade urge district attorney to drop charges against protesters
The San Francisco Lesbian Gay Bisexual Transgender Pride Celebration Committee urged prosecutors Tuesday to drop felony charges against six people charged with trying to attack Supervisor Gavin Newsom's car as he rode in the Pride Parade on Sunday.
Committee president Joey Cain said the six, members of the group Gay Shame, were trying to unfurl a banner reading ``Queer Mutiny, Not Consumer Unity.'' The group has criticized the parade for having corporate sponsors.
``The SF Pride Celebration has a long history of protests as part of the parade,'' Cain wrote in a statement. A group known as ACT-Up performed ``die-ins'' in the 1980s in front of the car of then-Mayor Art Agnos.
The six were dressed in black with pink bandannas when they jumped a barricade near Market and Seventh streets. Police said the group advanced toward Newsom's car, shouting threats, and some carried copper pipes.
District Attorney Terence Hallinan could not be reached immediately to respond to the committee plea.

Amazing how violent and intolerent 'proud' homosexuals are. I wonder if this is a splinter group of that homosexual terrorist organization that deliberly attacked and infected the nation's blood supply in the early '80s? It's troubling to see the extremes these heterophobic apologists are willing go to justify 'queer on queer' violence.

I think the DA should send the BILL to the ORGANIZERS!!
I do believe $900,000 is a bit much. After all, peeing and pooping on the steps of govt offices and preventing people from going in is not FREEDOM OF SPEECH - at least not in my book. These people also vomited all over cars and people passing by. The mess was left by the people HIRED BY THE ORGANIZERS - and the people who had to clean it up surely had other jobs to perform.

Not to mention that the clean-up of the deficant material coming from the human bioweapons walking the streets of Frisco presents one helluva biohazard. The clean-up must make Chernoybl seem like child's play.

This is a different protest than the anti-war dildos.
But the result will be the same...no actions taken by the corrupt DA. He only goes after gay-bashers (which this doesn't qualify)

You can get 20yrs for spitting in the face of a peace officer...because of the fear of AIDS
But AIDS infected sodomites can pee and poop in the street like packs of swine
and no fine.....
The undermenchen are of little consequence to the elite....and their sodomite pals

You know what? I'm extremely to the right, but I have no problem with two same sex officianados doing whatever, so long as if they do it in the privacy of their own domiciles.
However; when they want to put their actions in my face, I draw the line. The footage of the Gay Pride "parades" in SF and NYC offended me deeply. Many of the participants were engaging in premeditated behavior calculated to offend the mainstream. That was a foolish strategy. My knee jerk impression to this display is unprintable; however, after I calmed down I still believe in my heart that many of the individuals I saw on TV need to see a psychiatrist.
Note to any gays out there: these parades aren't advancing gay credibilty. They're doing quite the opposite....

Make sure you take note of the sponsors on the thread at post #10. (look at the links at your own risk). But Backhoe listed the event sponsors too. Most are local; but, some do business here. They need to be boycotted (wow, did I say that?)...well they do! This nonesense is too ridiculous!
