Hillary bedeviled by protesters

Protesters have become a regular feature at book signings by Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-N.Y.), but so far, according to Clinton's publisher, Simon & Schuster, they haven't hurt sales.
Now Clinton may have another problem that could: conservative blonde nemesis Ann Coulter and her new bestseller, Treason.
Living History, Clinton's book, continues to do a brisk business, yet by the beginning of the week Coulter's anti-liberal tome had buried it on Amazon's nonfiction bestseller list. Treason started the week in the No. 1 spot, while Living History had fallen out of the top 10.
Unfazed, Clinton has kept a heavy schedule of appearances. By her estimate, she's signed 10,000 copies of her memoirs.
"I try to look at people," she told Newsday. "I give [them] five or six or seven seconds to say something. Some are tongue-tied, some have a whole speech prepared, some give me letters."
Considering the number of protesters she attracts, Clinton said, she's surprised she hasn't received more negative comments at book signings. For security reasons Simon & Schuster has never posted her appearances on its website.
"One man in a devil's costume . . .has been following me for three years," Clinton said.
The devil didnt show a week ago when she signed books at a store in Huntington, N.Y., but there was a guy dressed in desert fatigues and a Hillary mask calling himself "Rodham Hussein."

Living History is piggy-backing off of the new Harry Potter book. . . Go to Amazon. . . They are offerring the both of them for $34.97. . .
What the.....??? That makes zero business sense.
Ah, but you're wrong. It makes perfect sense. They're both in the same genre--fantasy fiction--and both feature witches prominently.

Check out this review! I dont think its parody.
My non-reader husband is enjoying this book, June 27, 2003
|
Reviewer: A reader from La Mirada, CA United States |
Between amazon and B&N, we have purchased and re-distributed
around fourteen copies as gifts and loaners in our neighborhood.
My non-reader husband is enjoying this book and has read further
ahead than I have! I focused on the pictures and selected
bits for the flavor thereto. I can see why the coulter crayola
wit crowd is apoplectic...;> well written, clean and informative
concerning the period HRC served as First Lady. Despite the
multi-million funded barrage, she survived to serve as Senator.
Yeah, Hillary! We are well served by this slice of life during
the Scaife-Mellon-Starr onslaught so well financed by taxpayers
wherein the public saw through the ploy and Clinton prevailed.
Her "non-reader" husband likes the book, but she just concentrated on the pictures. Serious intellects we're dealing with here.

Pictures? The reviewer likely had a hard time coloring inside the lines.

Those of us who already bought HP5 are being offered Blumenthal's The Clinton Wars as the other half of the package - I had to log out & log in anonymously to get the Hillary & Harry offer.

well written, clean and informative Informative? Was she trapped in a mineshaft for those years?
Did anyone else catch Rush's piece -- he played a soundbite from the audiobook ("I gulped for air . . ."), which had all the passion of a third-grader told to read "with expression" (it was almost embarrassing to listen to); then he played the soundbite of Hillary shrieking in Congress that time - the "I'm sick and tired, blah, blah, blah" -- the contrast was most telling.

Ann's book is being packaged with Mona Charen's "Useful Idiots", which is wholly understandable. Swillery and Harry Potter though? Something stinks here.

A book about withcraft combined with one about bitchcraft. I guess that makes sense, in a poetic sort of way.

but she just concentrated on the picturesAnd can nevertheless make the assertion that the book is, "well written, clean and informative concerning the period HRC served as First Lady."
I feel certain those enjoyng Hillary's lies are well represented by this "reviewer".

The Harry Potter series needs to be investigated IMO. I've often felt that the Democrats have used the liberal media to constantly promote these books and that JK Rowling does not exist. This series is lining the pockets of somebody, maybe many people in the liberal camp. Just a theory...has JK Rowling ever done a book signing? I really don't know, though.

Maybe that is due to the fact that Hillary's book has been discounted up to 30% and maybe even more !! "Treason" wasn't on 'sale' when I bought my copy.
Careful! My guess is that the publishers sold these books to the retailers at THE SAME discount--probably in the area of 45-55%. The retailers are passing along a nice chunk of that discount to customers to ENCOURAGE people to buy Hitlery's book, even if they don't make too much on it.
At the same time, they're not offering a discount on Ann Coulter's book. This will discourage sales and will allow them to keep a larger share of the proceeds of each sale they do get. Basically, if they have to sell that book because it's so popular, they're going to make sure to soak the lousy conservatives who buy it for all they're worth. It's slimy, but perfectly legal.
My suggestion, buy from Amazon. They're discounting
Treason 30%....
Then read it and go back and write a review on Amazon. Currently, the book has 229 reviews and only a 3 star rating..... Wonder why?

It makes perfect business sense. Hillary's book stands a better chance of selling, hence, a higher number of sales that the liberal media can spout on about...

We never hear ANYTHING about her unless it pertains to that book about her and her "heavy shedule of appearnces" promoting it.

I bought "Treason" yesterday at Borders. Both Ann and Hillary's books were discounted 30%.
They had Hillary's book promenently displayed with many copies available. I asked the costumer service desk why Ann's book wasn't displayed like Hillery's. He said that because Ann's book wasn't on the best seller list. I told him the check the Amazon.com list.
He told me where to find Ann's book, way back in a corner (literaly) with only one copy on the shelf.
To: Dems_R_Losers
Yet her book is burying Hitlery's on the sales charts. Why is Hillary's at the top of the NYT Best Seller's List and Coulter isn't in the top five?
Does anyone know how these list work?

I notice it's only important to attend to "the people's business" when your corrupt ways are about to be revealed. But then again the Crusty One never could have cared less about representing New Yorkers anyway.
