CARLSON: ...The true voice of the Democratic Party has spoken, uttering four words that speak volumes: Howard Dean and Dennis Kucinich. They're the big winners of the online primary conducted this week by moveon.org.

The former Vermont governor crushed the rest of the field with about 44 percent of the vote. Congressman Kucinich was distant second, with 24 percent. With the exception of John Kerry's 16 percent, none of the other candidates even made it out of single digits, and low ones at that.

Then, everyone can vote for their favorite in the next primary, and drive the Dems nuttier.

What next primary? I think that was the one and only online primary they will be having. Better to temporarily switch to Demmycrat and vote for Dean in your home state primary.

So, you've got a guy who named an ice cream after Jerry Garcia endorsing a presidential candidate? This is getting good.

You'd have to think Vermont-based Ben & Jerry's would indorse Dean.

jd777:317,000 votes is a pretty good sample.

You: A lot better sample than the Iowa caucuses.

C'mon. It's about as significant a sample as asking a group of teachers if we should spend more money on education. It will only be a "significant sample" when thousands upon thousand of Freepers sign up so the full spectrum of political views is representated.

<^..^>

One of their letters before the primary said that the primary would be used to determine whom to endorse, but only if that person got a majority. They said there would be more primaries to follow, until someone had a majority, and then they would endorse that person. I suspect that "strongly support" second question is to make sure they choose someone who will be supported by their ranks.

Maybe they also realized that endorsing someone at this point would be really dumb. It will make them kind of irrelevant and uninteresting if their support is a known.

Isn't the Democratic party the party that champions the uneducated voters? :)

Carville "doesn't know how to use a computer?" How pathetic is that? Even 5 year old kids know how to use a computer.

I think his real problem is that he doesn't have opposable thumbs, and operating a keyboard with paws can be embarrasing. Not as embarrasing as that argument with Colson though, LOL!!

Actually, I heard that the "winner" had to get 50% of the vote - since no one got 50% - technically, there is no winner. But ... like Rush said ... the dems have to come to terms with the fact their party has become the hard left kooks - the ones you see out there marching and carrying signs - the ones the dem elites look down upon.

If polls show that Hillary has a chance she will take it. If she doesn't have a chance then they will pass to someone else.

Bingo !

"so, it didn't surprise me that the polling public on an ultra liberal website likes ultra liberal Howard Dean the best. I fail to see the 'significance' in that--just predictable poll results."

The problem is that moveon.org purports to be a "mainstream Democrat" site.

They were founded during the Clinton impeachment as a support mechanism and fundraising device for the First Felon's Legal Defense Fund. E.g., "Let's forget our President is a perjurer...and MOVE ON! To support our embattled Glorious Leader, send money now."

To their dismay, the Democrat leadership has just discovered who their "mainstream followers" really are: Whackos.

They're even more upset since Hollywierd is behind Dean. Click here to read Martin Sheen's letter in support of Howard Dean (via MoveOn.org).

The Democrats will nominate Howard Dean.

The next election will be a replay of Mondale versus Nixon.

In 16 years the Democrat party will consist only of Communist Progressive Leftists. The Republican Party will be the majority party by far. It will have co opted the current Democrat party positions and will have absorbed most Democrat voters (except for the Communist Progressive Leftists).

There will be an new conservative party (the Free Republicans) who will be fighting from the Right, and which will be the main minority party.

In 24 years the Free Republicans will capture the House and the Presidency.

You heard it here first.

"which will be the main minority party."

Do Jim Jeffords and Bernie Sanders represent the main minority party now?

let the Left move ever further left. They'll only alienate that many more people. Hurray for us good guys!

Ok I agree, but if the Right moves ever further right, will we alienate that many more people ? And then will we be screwed ?

"CARLSON: You're embarrassing yourself."

Carville is a lunatic, a real nutlog.

It is people like him that cause me to re-think my beliefs about Dr. Kevorkian... maybe there was a purpose for him.
