I will never forget Strom's speech he gave a few years ago, denouncing the U.N. for their attempts to undermine our sovereignty

My father was a democrat before Strom went Dixiecrat, lots more here in SC did the same.He turned not only SC but most of the South into a better party,we in the south are now better off because of this Great man.May he rest in peace and look over the Republican party.

Lots of politicians dying lately.
Don Regan, Lamar Baker, Maynard Jackson, Bob Stump, Lester Maddox.....
Now ole Strom. I never thought this day would come.
I checked out DU. Most of them seem pleased.
http://www.democraticunderground.com/duforum/DCForumID71/7272.html Sick bastards.
Rest in peace old man, you served your state well.

Liberals were hoping for Strom to die before Jim Jeffords switched control of the US Senate in 2001.

My prayers and sympathy go to his family. We have lost one of the good guys.
RIP sir, and thank you for the many years of service to our country.

(The left have blood on their hands.)
He holds the record for the longest filibuster in U.S. Senate history at 24 hours and 18 minutes, in opposition to the 1957 Civil Rights Act. I'll warrant that exercise in futility is not one of his works that's going to be rewarded when God hands out rewards.
May he rest in peace. God comfort his family. An institution has passed on.

Someone once said that every time an old man dies a library of knowledge burns downs. Tonight, it was one of the largest libraries ever.
To: Howlin
Oh my gosh! Sad news indeed. Prayers for him.
