Did "the white man" make Sosa cork that bat?
BTW, he got an 8 game suspension.

Ah, yes. The ever present "racist press". Give me a break, Pedro! By the way, Peter Gammons addressed Pedro's remarks at ESPN.com earlier today.

You never heard Chico Escuela talk like that. Remember him? "Besibol has bin berry berry good to me."

Sosa is probably the most popular player(at least was) in baseball.

Sounds like a "terroristic threat" to me!

Can't wait to see the first time Corky takes to the field at an away game. There are going to be enough wine stoppers sailing onto the outfield to stock a Gallo bottler.

Martinez is an idiot. Sammy was (is?) one of the most, if not the most beloved players in the game.

Did "the white man" make Sosa cork that bat? Sounds like Pedro thinks so.
What an idiot.

Not be too optimistic, but I think the race-baiting argument is in its death throes. It has become such self-parody that moderates and independents aren't buying it like they used to. I hope public figures keep up comments like this becase it will make it a thoroughly spent argument by 2008.

"
On ESPN Wednesday night, Canseco questioned that if Sosa were white and his bat were found to be corked, there would not be nearly the same level of hysteria."
Absolutley, if the 'white guy' in question had 500+ dingers (said dingers being suspect now, of course).
To: NittanyLion
I'd love to see just one person, anybody, frankly, admit something they did wrong.
