A change of pace today; a filler of sorts.... an email received some time ago from a friend: various quotes about love and friendship. Please feel free to add your own treasured gems.

Thank you, martin_fierro, for making this special montage for me to use today. I can't think of a better way to illustrate "Best Friends" than with FReepers' own photos, and the graphic you chose is perfect!

1) Click on the graphic to open the Calendar.
2) Once there you can click on any month and even click to the right to go into next year. Once you are in the month that you joined FR you will need to click on the number in the calendar and then an add item screen will come up.
3) In the next box enter your name in the "Calendar Text" field and then click on submit.
4) If any of the screens fail to load simply click on refresh in your browser and that will usually fix it.
5) If all else fails or simply if you want me to do this for you send me a FReepmail and I will gladly do it for you. ~Mixer

A lot of us complain about AOL a lot - but it's all I've ever used, so maybe I just don't know any better. LOL! There are always several top news headlines 'right there' when we log on.

Well, I'm one of those 'weather affected' people who have difficulty with gray days.....and that's about all we've had for the past month.

It's tough to 'spread sunshine all over the place, and put on a happy face' in THIS weather! :o)

Speaking of which, it just started to rain again and elder son is out trying to get the lawn mowed. We didn't even get a full day of nice stuff.......sigh......

Truth is, I went to Augusta early this morning to have laboratory tests drawn at the VA Medical Center.
Finally reached the Hot Seat, and the lab tech asked, "And what is your first name??"

Puzzled, I responded, and she showed me the card - it said Otis Bransom! When I was there a week and a half ago, the clerk accidentally handed me the wrong ID card after processing in, and I had put it in my wallet without looking at it.

After going to Triage and obtaining a new ID card, went next door to The Medical College of Georgia to make an August appointment, and then - - shopping!
After returning home in the afternoon, got groceries and decided to take a n-a-p. Did a world of good!

Billie, you have indeed created a Room where all are comfortable, and truly become Family and Friends. It takes a special person and devoted hostesses to lovingly produce these awesome threads day after day - week after week.
