A Few of FR's Finest....Every Day
Free Republic made its debut in September, 1996, and the forum was added in early 1997.   Over 100,000 people have registered for posting privileges on Free Republic, and the forum is read daily by tens of thousands of concerned citizens and patriots from all around the country and the world.

I don't ever sanction watching any of the clinton "holdover" pundits. Greta has somewhat redeemed herself by asking pretty good questions. Geraldo is an idiot to start with and has become like the slightly crazy uncle the family has to put up with because he once played a bit part on Broadway thereby adding a bit of lustre when company comes over. I'm not familiar with the reality type shows. Do people actually watch court cases on TV? Why, when we have Laci for breakfast dinner and supper? LOL

Yes, our third co-equal Constitutional branch of Judiciary gobbledygook is seriously showcased each and every afternoon. The case of the puppy stained carpet held all spellbound on Animal Court. The case of "I want my CD's back from that ghetto Ho Jenatta" was argued on Judge Mathis.

Nan, it is dismal enough that they find people to sit in the gallery and watch this insanity. But, there are also people out on the sidewalk who watch the proceedings and comment before the verdict. I want to stand out there one day and say ... "Shaleen should be drawn and quartered, and Maurice should be beheaded with a samurai sword. Let's hang the Judge and the Executive producers from oak trees and disembowel Rusty the bailiff."

I admit to seldom now straying from the folds of The Finest, Mr.Fufkin..:))

For a time, I didst joust with some contrary Libertarians, alas - and in the process, singed my lace gloves. (The ones worn over the iron fists, that is!)

'Twas a tiresome effort, slamming against the blank brick walls, so I didst turn away to concentrate on positive things.

(And it's longing, I am, for the Goode Olde Daze when we had regular "Don Morgan" commercials, blasting us for not "doing something"!!
Didn't matter, appearing on every thread posted, nagging you to stop playing...call, fax, wire, e-mail, send smoke signals....beat a tom-tom or two. Mattered not at all if you had done that already and were resting - CRACK! went the whip!)

No - I had on my "Ignore" Button when the McCainiacs were running rampant. No hero brags about himself in a debate, as he did. He took our hefty veteran population in South Carolina for granted, but 50% went for Bush, giving him his first Nomination Victory!

Still haunted by the likes of the Ross Perot Debacle, and with us thus divided/diluted, the door being opened for Clinton's election.

I do not desire to jump ship - just to change the oar rowers a bit...

I rarely comment on other threads either. I used to jump in quite a bit, but eventually I learned that whatever I had to say had already been said. Freepers are always a step ahead of me.

What has always been the ironically ironic irony is that we who have been denigrated and marginalized as "Bushbots" don't attribute to him, or his office, powers and prerogatives he doesn't have. I trust him, and he has my proxy. He's working for my priorities. Conservative priorities. Properous and secure priorities. He can't issue fatwahs and decrees from the Oval Office. We don't have a functional Conservative Majority in the Senate. That's a fact, that is a powerfully mitigating force to getting our political initiatives implemented. It's not the one or two GOP members, it's the 49 of 49 Democrat members who are stiffing the Conservative agenda.

I told some Cane Toad on a thread last month that if I were an Admin Monitor, folks would be ejected like those circus acrobats flying from the cannon. "Bush is just like his daddy" ... PULL! "The RINOS and RATS are the same" ... LAUNCH! "Real conservative" ... OUTGOING!

I don't mind debate and challenge ... but if you don't acknowledge that there are clear, significant and discernable diffences in policy, ideology and voting record between Democrats and Republicans ... you are either too stupid or duplicitous to be here. If you rip the GOP with no alernative, you are a eunuch and warrant no voice in the debate.

That stuff was annoying in 2000. In 2003, it's contemptable. This is a serious time in human history. We're the last best hope for mankind. Conservatives have never been positioned more advantageously to gain the political heft to roll back 40 years of Socialism, Cultural corruption and income theft. We're there. We need 10 conservative Senators. GOP, Dem, Constitution Party - who cares?

How long does one watch clods weigh in with a "Pubbies and Rats are just the same" lie before leaving the forum? That's not an honest approach to the proceedings, and it is not a good faith use of Jim's forum. FR has a potential to be a "force multiplier" for Conservative action, but if the malcontents don't exploit this scary good springboard ... eject the bastards. This isn't a crying towel, or a forum to list personal affronts and grievences.

If the immigration warriors are serious, they could use this resource to rally support, co-ordinate programs and share outcomes. Who wants to be force fed that crap? Let's just escelate a SARS conspiracy and doomsday scenario. Abe Lincoln is still a tyrant. We're sending all our jobs to Mexico, yet the Mexicans are coming up here for jobs. Bush is like his dad. Where are the WMDs, why did Bush lie to us? Let's post every item reporting a corporate labor downsizing, just to badmouth our economic prospects. Crucify Bush for proposals that haven't even been introduced in Congress, much less signed.

Some of these characters think 9-11 was the start of a war - the U.S. Government against its citizens and the Constitution. I'll be a Bush bot and a Neo Con if that makes me a political enemy of them.

I'm in essentially the same position you are.

No one person can be The Answer to All Things - leap over tall buildings; solve the Zit Problem; single-handedly repair Every Pothole in Your Neighborhood; find the cure for mental laziness; and carve the equivalent of Mt. Rushmore in his spare time.

He is the best possible man for the time, IMO, and focuses on the prolems and delegates effectively.
He gives more than lip service to his faith, and it is God I trust to guide the human being.
Our responsibility is to follow Him, and seek His favor for America.

So glad you ambled by tonight, Arne!
Hope you'll return more often.

I like Ralph Hall way way more than I like Connie Morella. I like Ben Nelson and Zell Miller way way more than I like Lincoln Chaffee and Arlen Specter. I don't like Ron Paul. I do like Charlie Stenholm.

Party is not the issue. But, the GOP party is the only viable vehicle Cultural and Paleo-Conservatives have to influence the political agenda toward their priorities. If they throw up their hands and walk away from the process .... "CLEAR". They'd be like those guys and cows being launched from catapaults in "The Life of Brian". Or was it "Time Bandits" Or ... "The Waltons"?
