How did I get them to stay in that pose? LOL -- you know cats! I did no such thing. I just took a whole bunch of photos and this one, to my surprise, was in the mix. They both looked up at me a little exasperatedly each time I hovered over to snap a shot, as if to say, "WHAT??!! CAN'T YOU SEE WE'RE PLAYING HERE!???"

I'm sorry to hear of "Nuff Kitty". I can feel with you. Our pets are so much a part of us, and when we have a tragedy, it hits us deeply. I've had my own horror with my beloved Teddy, a few years ago, and I'm still not over it. I used to look at him and wonder how I could stand to see him get old and sickly. After his tragic death, I would have done anything to see him get old.
I've had cats all my life. My first was called "Amos and Andy". I was a kid and thought that was all one name! Over the years, I've had a cat named Pansy, ending up with Pansy the 13th. I've always been partial to calicos, especially with double-paws. I've had many of those, but my favorite Teddy, was just a plain yellow tabby, and the first male I ever had.
On a lighter side, there were two "Close to Home" cartoons that I clipped, as they were SO funny. Not having my scanner connected to this 'puter, let me just write the captions,and let your imagination do the work-----
"Our idiot veterinarian said that the cat has a serious tarter problem and recommended that I try flossing her teeth." (Picture a guy with shredded clothes and scratches, holding a limp piece of floss)!!!
The other ---- "Claire's decoy balloon furniture quickly broke Muffin of her claw-sharpening habit." (Picture Muffin stretching up to sharpen her claws on the balloon chair ---- next picture - BLAM -- Muffin is up in the air amongst all the balloon pieces, with fur and eyes double sized!)
