I have to admit I was a bit skeptical about her ability, but she has performed admirably under the intense media scrutiny.

She's sucked it up and is takin it like a man...er...well maybe that's not appropriate, but you get the point.

The game of golf makes no exceptions for gender, it's you against the course.

Shirley Muldowney is a living legend for those in the know.

"Cha Cha" is legendary, for sure. She had some great races with "Bid Daddy" Don Garlits in the old days.

If Sorensten DOES make the cut, the other networks might just as well put up test patterns on Sunday afternoon.

I didn't know what to expect. Sounds like she is playing well and VERY consistent. Good for her.

5th (par 4, 470 yds): Drive misses the fairway, approach skirts just inside the rim of the green, 60 ft birdie putt gets within 10 ft,

putting for PAR for the Horrible Horseshoe

MISSES the putt, makes 10" bogey putt... back to even, and on the bubble for the cut.

Her chances just got a lot worse, she just made bogey, back to even par. Her jackrabbit start fading.

I'm unable to watch it via tv so trying to visualise from what i can gather on the internet. Sounds as if she is playing the green, not the flagstick. Tomorrow with added confidence probably will see her aiming at the stick more.

The pressure she was under today was huge. Some of the males
on this site felt she was a good female player that would lose to their club pro. I watch quite a bit of the LPGA and Sorenstam is the most even tempered golfer I have ever seen.

Still a lot of golf left today.

(Procedural question - does the cut come today or after tomorrow's rounds?)

Don't count her out yet. I've seen her recover from some pretty dire situations. I'm impressed with her performance and attitude.

What cut? Don't they cut after 36 holes? How many have they played? Lots of holes left.

It'll be interesting to see what she does tomorrow: aiming at the wide side of the green increases the likelihood of par; gambling a bit more can get a player into trouble too...

PGATOUR.com is projecting it at even par. I wouldn't have a clue, LOL.
