Yeah, I don't get some of the guys hereMe neither....If she's teeing up from the same spots and playing by the same rules, more power to her.

"But the point is, that she is holding her own, because she is most likely going to be ahead of quite a few men, all of them elite pros."
And she's barely missed several makeable birdie putts; if her putting game had been "on" today, she might be leading this thing.

She's married, and that's good enough for me to establish her heterosexual credentials Me too. My post to MineralMan was a joke, suggesting that his knowing for a fact that she's a hetero was because he had, uh, first hand experience finding out ;)

One heck of a long putt coming up.

I didn't suggest any of which you allege or defend. My simple thesis is that if she were to try to win rather than simply plan in the middle it would be more difficult. I also don't see women winning on the men's tour.

You are wrong, and all your name-calling doesn't change that, although it does weaken your case even further when you have to resort to that. All I originallystated was she would have trouble on the longer men's courses, and you went off.

Nope, just that you contrasted Amazon with normal. To some folks, what you consider Amazon is normal :)

9/9 on fairways... I guess if you stay on the short grass, wearing white on a muddy day isn't really a faux pas...

VERY BEST WOMEN MAY BE AS GOOD AS THE VERY BEST MEN Then she will have to play in a tournament where Tiger Woods, Mike Wier, Vijay Singh, Davis Love III and Ernie Els are playing. Those are the top five (on the Money List) and they are not playing this weekend.

I see so My case is weakened by pointing out your handles false advertising, after you question my manhood? Ah yes, I see that I am the one in the morally weaker position.

The best female player in the history of golf finishes in the middle of the pack in a dull PGA tour event that is minus the best male players and on a course tailor-made for her talents under ideal weather conditions. Wow, I'm like so impressed.
So where'd you finish on the tour today?

You two are out of control. Why don't you take it to FReep mail, then come back when you've made up......

The announcers this morning said she made her first rookie mistake wearing white pants. Not if she doesn't have to leave the fairway or greens.

Some people tie their egos to external things. It's the same things that happens when you say some movie sucks and somebody gets all whacky, for whatever reason they've tied their sense of self to it and when you don't like it that insults them. The only guys who's egos should be tied to this are the 140-odd playing, everybody else needs to go back to spectator land and just watch.

Wow, I'm like so impressed.Well, yes, I am. She's the best ever... impressive. She's working under some HEAVY scrutiny, and has yet to make a mistake... impressive. She was not expected to make the cut, and she's below par (the cut at the Colonial has never been below par)... impresssive. She was wise to choose a course tailored to her game... not impressive, but at least shows intelligence.
She can't control who plays thre, so I don't begrudge her the "best males aren't there" thing.
Ideal weather conditions? Wet, slick, and muddy don't make for a good, predictable golf game. But it is rather nice out here in Indiana today!

OK, if those five elite were playing, how would it affect her game? She'd still be finishing where she's finishing now, and at worst, she'd be five more notches down in the field. Or will Tiger and Vijay's aura cause her to pull a couple of triple bogeys?
