I don't have access to a TV this morning, but ESPN 's hole-by-hole analysis says that she "found the far-right side of the fairway" on hole 15. These stats., obtained from Golfweb.com, seem to support that. I wouldn't know for sure, though.

So far there are about 40 swinging sets of balls that you should pose that to. They're behind her at this point.

You have to figure that someone who could shoot a 59 on a tournament course knows how to play the game.

10th (par 4, 404 yds): On the fairway twice, birdie putt is 18" short, makes par.
11th (par 5, 609 yds): On the fairway all three shots, birdie putt is 10" short, makes par.
12th (par 4, 443 yds): On the fairway, second shot on the rim of the green, makes par.
13th (par 3, 178 yds): 3 inches off of the carpet, birdie putt is GOOD.
14th (par 4, 457 yds): On the green in two, long birdie putt is 6" short, makes par.
15th (par 4, 430 yds): Drive misses the fairway, 2nd shot hits the green, 20ft putt misses left. 5" par putt is good
16th (par 3, 188 yds): Tee shot is within 6ft of the pin, birdie putt is barely right, 2" par putt is good.
17th (par 4, 383 yds): Drive on the fairway, 160 yd approach shot is safely on the (rather big) green.
18th (par 4, 427 yds):

hahah Well given I am a man, I am hardly a man hater. You have not stated fact, you have stated opinion. Your opinion is that the only reason she is doing well here is it is a "short" course, and you believe she can't handle the tour... you have no proof, nor evidence for your opinion.
Fact is, you nor no one else here can state exactly how well or poorly she would play in the tour, because unless you are God Almighty Himself you don't have the ability to see the future or potential future.
You are offering your opinion that she "wouldn't be a winner" and presenting it as fact... You can believe she wouldn't be a winner all day, but until she plays the PGA circuit full time, your opinion is just that, not fact.

I think the rain and wet conditions are actually helping Annika on the shorter holes as long as she is in the fairway.

Annika is proving that one determined and gutsy lady like her, who actually can hang with the boys, is worth 100 Martha Jerk types.
How funny would it be if Annika somehow made it to the Masters as a playah?

The announcers corrected their mistake when she hit her 2nd shot.....

I've also said on other threads that this is an advertising coup for Bank of America. That cannot be denied now. There's a lot of smiling face at that company right now.

If she does make it to the Masters, I just hope she wears some pants that don't crawl up her crack like the ones she has on today
To: HamiltonJay
only reason she is doing well here is it is a "short" course #1) She's only played 6 holes thusfar, so let's not get too excited.
#2) None of the big names have even teed off yet.

PGA TOUR Leaderboard Last Updated: 11:39 am Projected cut: E Hmm...too early to say. 40 players who have actually begun their rounds are E or better. I have a feeling that the projection is taking into consideration all of the players are even par who have yet to tee off. Wouldn't trust that estimate as of yet.
