(Forgive me for saying so, but if Rubin were white, there might have been a different winner tonight....just my opinion.)
CMom, I'm surprised you said that, but I won't knock honesty. I am rather surprised and disappointed in seeing some of the worse come out in many Freepers ;( Again, I don't get it because had Clay won, I wouldn't be a Jessie Jackson saying, thats because Ruben is black or overweight. -Sigh-Oh well.

There could have been riots here in L.A. had Ruben NOT won this "award." Get it? You don't?
Well, my co-workers -- split racially 50-50, were voting along racial lines, even while some blacks admitted they thought Clay had the better voice. They each stated they were voting for Ruben. Get it now???
To: AmericanInTokyo
Very cute.........LOL.

Randy also produced Mariah Carey, I think.

Clay is showing true class.
As it should be, those two boys have come to love one another. And Clay is a classy guy who is going to be extremely successful.

Ruben won Florida, right? RECOUNT!! LOL!Come on now ;)
Heheheh... sorry, I just could *not* resist. :-)
Seriously, although I think Clay is the better singer, I am happy for Ruben. He seems like a good-hearted guy.
To: fightinJAG
ewwww, he should be shot for that! lol

What was it James Carville said, "Drag a $100 bill through a trailer park and see what you get?" :-)

Nope, not the same Randy Jackson. This one played bass guitar for Journey and several other prominant acts, and he has also produced records for very well-known acts.
To: Jorge
The judge of what?Seriously, I have completely forgetten now. LOL. Too many responses, I am way too lost. Let's just call it a draw. Or game, set, match. Whichever you prefer.
To: Fledermaus
What the hell is "Journey?" Must be some fly-by-night group from the 70's or 80's, eh?
To: Pokey78
LOL @ the Pat joke!

No way. Ruben is a better singer and has a more appealling personality. I notice you didn't mention his appearance. hmmmmmm

And Mariah Carey has done the world no favors by spawning that lookalike fan who makes us just want the sound to STOP.
To: CarmelValleyite
70' and 80's yes...fly by night, no. I never liked them though. Too pop for me even though they were called "rock". Too many ballads.

Is Clay releasing *Bridge*?
Good night all, this has been kinda fun....Clay has class and he sent shivers down my spine when he sang my favorite song last week..Unchained Melody, although the tempo was too fast...Clay nailed it.
