Report Says CBS Likely to Drop New Segment With Ex-President

Television viewers are apparently not having 'visual relations' with Bill Clinton's weekly debate against Bob Dole on '60 Minutes,' leading industry experts to project CBS will oust the former President from the airwaves.

According to USA Today media colunist Peter Johnson, Clinton and Dole 'have generated virtually no buzz since they premiered in March and have done nothing to boost the sagging newsmagazine's ratings.'

Hence, as executives plan to announce CBS's fall schedule next week, analyists are betting that Clinton-Dole won't be back in September.

Don Hewitt, the show's executive producer, says although no decision has been made about the segment's future, the feature apparently got drowned out by strong viewer interest in the war against Iraq.

Of course it's possible, what isn't. But he would face a whole new dynamic. For starters, more news outlets, radio talk shows and internet services, et al. would demand answers to MANY outrageous involvments and decisions. And these would have "legs" even with the elitest left-wing media. Additionally, there's the post 9/11 focus that we want to feel secure (and that includes gullible sheeple), which even now outweights the economy. Finally, he would have to face a candidate like Dole to have a shot. But, yeah! it's possible.

The good news is apparently the bean counters at CBS are monitoring 60 minutes like jackals waiting for an opportunity to rip and shred 60 minutes.

So even the Clinton BULL Ship net can't have the bent one on, if he doesn't increase their audience.

This makes me wonder who is really paying the $100,000 plus, 3 times each week for this loser to slander our president and us at different so called public speaking sites each week. If he had any real audience pull, CBS would be keeping he and old Viagra on.

Hey, remember that little tidbit about Monica wanting Dole before Clinton, because she would see him around the Watergate, where she lived? I think Clinton next to Dole is making Clinton look as old and tired as Dole. And it probably doesn't help the Clintmeister that his hair is now snow white like an 80 year old grandmother.
