CLINTON DUMPED BY '60 MINUTES?'

Report Says CBS Likely to Drop New Segment With Ex-President

Television viewers are apparently not having 'visual relations' with Bill Clinton's weekly debate against Bob Dole on '60 Minutes,' leading industry experts to project CBS will oust the former President from the airwaves.

According to USA Today media colunist Peter Johnson, Clinton and Dole 'have generated virtually no buzz since they premiered in March and have done nothing to boost the sagging newsmagazine's ratings.'

Hence, as executives plan to announce CBS's fall schedule next week, analyists are betting that Clinton-Dole won't be back in September.

Don Hewitt, the show's executive producer, says although no decision has been made about the segment's future, the feature apparently got drowned out by strong viewer interest in the war against Iraq.

I didn't want to watch those two nimrods when the Presidency was on the line. Why on earth would I want to watch them now?

Meanwhile, the ex-prez at a party didn't seem too upset by the news.

That's the best idea I have heard for a 'reality' TV show yet!

I watched "60 Minutes" regularly from ca. 1968 until they
put the Klintoon on a few weeks ago. That ended the conflict between the last hour of my favorite weekly
radio program and the television. Don't know that I'll be coming back...

He creates more of a visceral reaction in me.

Nah, Paglia and Rush would agree on some things and Carville would just scream.

'King of the Hill' is a great show, if only for the political commentary of Dale Gribble..

Not only was Clinton sickening to see, but if you didn't know who he was, the segment was still horrible.

This can't be happening!

The bent one's poll rating showed that 80% of Americans were in lust for the Bent One.

When the country is a recession and ABCNNBCBS are losing market share and ad $ to Fox by having the bent one, reality of the bottom line is starting to have an effect.

Perhaps a better format would be Clinton and Howard Stern, or Clinton and Dr. Ruth. You can, no doubt, think of a few pairings of your own.

Since when has Clintoon and Dole been on 60 minutes? I never watch and they are certainly not creating any "buzz". The best thing that could happen would be if Dole asked the same question of Clintoon every single week: "Bill, come clean on Whitewater, Juanita Broddrick, paula Jones, and why did you screw Monica Lewinsky in the Oval office."

Now that would create a buzz.

Hank and Homer Simpson are far better than the Clintoon.

I hope that Bob hasn't given up his regular job selling Viagra.
