Report Says CBS Likely to Drop New Segment With Ex-President
Television viewers are apparently not having 'visual relations' with Bill Clinton's weekly debate against Bob Dole on '60 Minutes,' leading industry experts to project CBS will oust the former President from the airwaves.
According to USA Today media colunist Peter Johnson, Clinton and Dole 'have generated virtually no buzz since they premiered in March and have done nothing to boost the sagging newsmagazine's ratings.'
Hence, as executives plan to announce CBS's fall schedule next week, analyists are betting that Clinton-Dole won't be back in September.
Don Hewitt, the show's executive producer, says although no decision has been made about the segment's future, the feature apparently got drowned out by strong viewer interest in the war against Iraq.

I hear you, ewing.
Hollywood Online News Flash: "Former President Bill Clinton will resurrect his short-lived television career by appearing as a masked surprise "bachelor" on the reality TV series, "Mr. Personality." Sporting a purple mask, "Slick Willy" will not be revealed to the bachelorette or hostess Monica Lewinsky until a rated X hot tub scene during the final episode."

Daschle: "I'm deeply saddened."
Fisk: "The Clinton-Dole Juggernaut continues!"
Baghdad Bob: "There has never been anyone named either "Clinton" or "Dole" employed by 60 Minutes. It is a vicious rumor. And furthermore, they're doing a great job!

Just imagine Anne Coulter vs BJ Clinton once a week.
And give them a full segment.
No, on second thought, I couldn't stand Clintbilly that long.

Sounds like someone is counting the beans as they disappear from CBS as audiences drop and ad $'s head to Fox.

Let's face it, America does not like the Clinton's. As long as they're running things at the DNC, Democrats will always be headed downhill. Now, we got such idiotic candidates such as Dean and Braun running for the D. primary that it will make things even worse for them. If I were NY, I would look into how Clinton got elected Senator. And when I say "look", I mean look for something illegal.

I disagree. I think if SickSlick could run...and an election was held tomorrow...he ''could" win. Note, I didn't say would win...but I think it's very possible.
Never underestimate the gullibility of the sheeple.

I hope that Bob hasn't given up his regular job selling Viagra. Yep, Bob can't keep it up and Bubba can't keep it down.

Your remark is what makes Free Republic so great. Not only do we slice the news and dice it to get at the truth and reality.
Then, Freepers like you with a great sense of humor post remarks like this:
Yep, Bob can't keep it up and Bubba can't keep it down.
