Too bad McVeigh was executed so soon. He might have had a lot to say eventually. Knowing that he had ties to terrorists from Iraq might have given the victims' families more in the long run than the "closure" his execution supposedly gave them.
Isn't Nichols still in prison? Is anyone pressing him for answers?

If any of this is true, I doubt the FBI would be interested in a serious investigation.

Am I the only one who has never heard this conspiracy theory?

My understanding is that both the Federal judge (Maitsch?) and McVeigh's own
original attorney (Stephen Jones of Enid, OK) thought that McVeigh must have
been part of a larger conspiracy.
I keep an open mind about all this...maybe there was or wasn't a big conspiracy.
But I think Judge Maitsch even opined that McVeigh, in his relation of his part in the crime
never satisfactorily explained how he knew how to build the truck bomb (so it
would detonate and/or be effective) or was able to put together such a large device
by himself (or with Nichols).
I hope that Dubya gets re-elected in 2004...I feel that a sustained sane administration
of the FBI/Dept. Justice is about the only prayer of this ever being fully proved
or dis-proved.

I've never doubted from day 1 that the OKC bombing was an Iraqi revenge operation.
To: Mears
I've never heard of it -- except the first day after the bombing, when the mention of Islamic terrorists drew cries from the left of how prejudiced Americans are to immediately suspect the bombing to be the work of militant Islamists. They would never blow up a building in the USA. We all know that.

Revenge for what? Wasn't it done on the anniversary of Ruby Ridge or something?
It has always seemed impossible that McVeigh built that bomb all on his own. But why would he take his secret with him to the grave?

Naw...it was fertilizer mixed by one guy a few thousand pounds of it...never did it absorb any water..while mixing or delivering..
And best of all it took out a concrete and super steel reinforced building designed specifically to withstand an anfo blast...ala the Armstrong bros & the Army Math Research Building at UW Madison Wi. back in 1970
I was about 4 blocks away when that one happend

Judge Deborah Robinson gave the legal team more time to bolster its argument that McVeigh was working for Saddam Hussein.Hmmm ... NO phone records
Hmmm ... NO written correspondence
Hmmm ... ONLY ties to Michael Fortier and Terry Nichols ...
.. makes for "no case" with Saddam ....

Revenge for what? "Waco".
He watched McNutty's so-called abortion of a 'documentary' (COUGH COUGH) repeatedly.
HE *EVEN* visited 'Waco' while the standoff was in progress - there are *pictures* of him taken during an interview with a local student (I think) newspaper ...

I still remember seeing Steve Emerson on the tube after the bombing, saying it had all the hallmarks of a Middle Eastern terrorist attack. Jayna Davis' information is fascinating and very damning if true.
Whatever happened to the hearing on this matter that was supposed to have occurred last October?

Stephen Jones of Enid, OK) thought that McVeigh must have been part of a larger conspiracy.... and McVeigh thought his own attorney nuts for persuing this.
REPEATEDLY McVeigh told the same story to every one of 'Oklahoma' Jones investigators who questioned him about the 'act' ...

Am I the only one who has never heard this conspiracy theory? It's been spread by a number of those who have sort of axe to grind -
- a special grand jury was even conveined to look into the matter, those who had 'pressed' for the grand jury even thought that the government had detonated the explosion ...

Isn't it possible that McVeigh's motivation was revenge for Waco (which it was, obviously), but that he was working with Iraqis of different motivation, at the same time?
To: moyden2000
That's the theory, anyway.MEANWHILE, the court testimony that convicted McVeigh and Nichols tells a FAR different story, a story involving only three people, two of which had direct participation in the bomb preparation and *one* who 'delivered' it ...
