Sorry, no. It's whatever service is flying him. The helo is Marine One. The aircraft today was Navy (or Naval) One. When he flies in the 747, it's Air Force One. If he flies in a Coast Guard helo, it would be Coast Guard One.

Yes, my explanation was not detailed enough. It is whatever service happens to be flying him. So, the aircraft he was flying in today would be Navy One, if it was a Navy aircraft.

According to FOX - the President did fly about 1/3 of the way to the ship. Hot Dog - what a guy - I bet he loved every minute of it.

And ... for days we are going to be treated to seeing that airplane land on the carrier ... and everytime the liberals see it they will grimace ... which just makes my day!!!!!

If they could I think they would. However, Air Force fighter jets don't have a tail hook and cannot be fitted with one without a drastic structural change. So you are correct with one little change. They won't even let them try.

Someone may have already corrected you on this, but this is not a true statement. If it is a Marine aircraft (such as the Marine chopper he flies on), it is "Marine One". If it is an Army aircraft, like an Army chopper, it is "Army One". And if a Navy aircraft, as in this case, it is "Navy One".
