INC: Former Iraqi information minister negotiates surrender deal
27-04-2003, 20:56
An official at Iraq's leading opposition group, the Iraqi National Congress (INC) has disclosed to Al Bawaba that in the past two days there has been contacts with Mohammad Said al-Sahaf, Saddam Hussein's Information Minister, regarding his surrender. According to Nabil al Musawi, the deal will be completed soon.
Musawi said that although al-Sahaf's name is not included on the list of most wanted Iraqis by US forces, "he is wanted by the Iraqis".
Last week, the Portuguese daily Diario de Noticias reported that the minister whose briefings made him a worldwide celebrity during the recent war, tried to hand himself in via a contact with Portuguese journalists. (Albawaba.com)

He is not surrendering. He is actually capturing an American unit, while unarmed. He's drawing us into a trap! A quagmire! Look out!!!

Baghdad Bob was funny, and I think he could make a talented, if offbeat, comedian. The serious side to this is that it shows what power Saddam held over his people. If Saddam told you to say that night is day, you say that night is day--or else you get fed alive into the people shredder! I hope Baghdad Bob isn't a major criminal and he can tell the world the truth about what it is like to live with fear of a dictator.

Sometimes when Baghdad Bob would speak, you could see a smirk on his face. I wonder if he was thinking "my God, what a crock of sh*t this is", "oh well, it beats getting executed"

Maybe he can fill in for Peter Jennings.

Does he know talking dolls are being made to look and sound like him and are being sold in the USA? If so, what reaction would he have to this?Based on the story I heard about him demanding cash from the journalists at The Palestine Hotel, I would guess that he would start expecting royalties on any Baghdad Bob merchandise. There are some things about our culture he seems to catch on to.

Come to think of it, if Baghdad Bob says he's surrendering, I'd make REAL sure that his hands are where I can see em when he shows up to turn himself in.
If he says he's giving up, it must be a trap.

Baghdad Bob alert!! "There are no American infidels in Baghdad. Never!"
"God will roast their stomachs in hell at the hands of Iraqis."
"We have destroyed 2 tanks, fighter planes, 2 helicopters and their shovels - We have driven them back."
"Listen, this explosion does not frighten us any longer. The cruise missiles do not frighten anyone. We are catching them like fish in a river. I mean here that over the past two days we managed to shoot down 196 missiles before they hit their target."
"They're not even [within] 100 miles [of Baghdad]. They are not in any place. They hold no place in Iraq. This is an illusion ... they are trying to sell to the others an illusion."
"When we were making the law, when we were writing the literature and the mathematics the grandfathers of Blair and little Bush were scratching around in caves."
Britain "is not worth an old shoe."
"These cowards have no morals. They have no shame about lying."

I can see the rounds he will make on all the late night talk shows. Letterman "Did you really believe all those lies you told during the war?" B.Bob: "Lies?"

The other night Tom Brokaw was doing a special while flying on Air Force One.
He asked President Bush what he thought of Baghdad Bob? President Bush let out a big laugh and said "He is a real character".

Inside sources inform me Baghdad Bob is in serious negotiations with the Clintonistas to work as as the senior ranking greeter at the the Clinton Presidential Museum in Little Rock. He will receive additional training at the official WalMart Greeting Academy in Bentenville, Ark. should he accept the job.

Here is what I always believed in my heart. You have to know Baghdad Bob. He is a survivor big time or he would not have gone out there and told such whoppers every day. I KNEW all the stories of his demise must be untrue because they were not congruent with his personality. I definitely could see him running off with the journalists money, though. But not hanging himself. He has just been waiting for the right moment to show himself. Probably all those other stories about him dying were to throw us off..in his own words "As ususal." (B.Bob smirk.)
To: buickmackane
Here he goes trying to make himself important again!
