Trudeau insults Christians in Easter Day Doonesbury cartoon

On Easter of all days, Gary Trudeau uses his Doonesbury cartoon to insult Christians in general, and George Bush's faith in particular. How quick the liberals are to condemn someone else's faith and belief system, but just let a Christian say anything negative about another's belief system and how quick they are to invoke an injunction against "judgementalism."

They DON'T get it.
They WON'T get it.
But they sure know how to complain about everything.
...guess we just shouldn't ever do anything, 'cause it just might not be popular, with everyone
...guess all those people should still be stuck in jails, and raped, and beaten
....What? It was the RIGHT thing to do...oh, that's NEVER been very popular, and it's MUCH more effort, too.
AND ONCE AGAIN, IF YOU CAN'T ARGUE THE PREMISE, ATTACK THE PERSON.
Libs are so transparent. There's so much goodness and positivity in this life for us to enjoy, and they prefer to be clouded in darkness.

This is a stupid attempt to stir up a tempest in a teapot. Neither Bush nor evolution have anything to do with the resurrection of Christ. Plenty of Christians, if not the majority, believe that it is possible or even quite likely that evolution was the very mechanism that God used for creation, and that the Genesis account is a beautiful allegory. Just because you find it impossible to believe in the Bible unless every single word is literally true doesn't mean that every Christian shares your myopia.

Also worth pointing out that a couple of years ago Hillary referred to Christ in a speech, claiming that He was a "homeless person". In fact, Joseph and Mary had a home
So you're saying that Jesus lived with his parents until he was in his thirties?!?

Doonesbury was on the editorial page of the Houston Chronicle until it used bogus IQ data in regards to Bush. People like me complained and now Doonesbury is on the funny pages in the Chronicle. Once again, Trudeau makes fun of George W. Bush and his intelligence. That does not work any more. And has not for some time. It's STUPID.
Besides Trudeau's spittle there is another comic called Boondocks in the paper. It's just trash.

(Now, let's go to the screen writer.....)
To: Hillary? Hell no!
When did "comic" strips stop being comical and have instead become propagandist insults?

Just mho but in my heart ,I have a lot of difficulty believing that mankind evolved from some primordial soup.

As I recall, the cartoon used the shadow of a menorah morphing into the shadow of a cross. Certainly more of a direct slap on Judaism than this cartoon.

Editorial comics have been around for a long time.

No, I'm referring to His birth in a manger. Hillary described Christ as being born a "homeless person".
But I think you're pulling my leg.

If I remember correctly, Gary Trudeau is married to Katie Couric of the Today show......
This is more of a question than a statement.

I'm not aware that Bush has ever said anything about about Evolution. I seriously doubt though that this was meant as a slap at Christians in general.

whoa, slow down there partner! Let's clarify a few things:
1) Trudeau obviously thinks that this topic has something to do with Easter, else why did he choose today of all days to address this topic, when so many other cartoonists are running Easter-themed cartoons.
2) I do not deny that there are many Christians that are able to reconcile Evolution with the Bible. I don't happen to be one of them, but I don't go around calling them myopic, and I wish you'd show me a similar respect.
3) What makes you think I believe "every single word" in the Bible is "literally true?" For purposes of this discussion, I merely state that I believe that Genesis chapters 1-2 are an accurate account of creation. There are plenty of words in the Bible that I don't believe are meant to be taken literally.

Oh. Maybe you shouldn't have kept that bit to yourself.
Hillary described Christ as being born a "homeless person".
That's not at all what you said originally, which was: "Also worth pointing out that a couple of years ago Hillary referred to Christ in a speech, claiming that He was a "homeless person". In fact, Joseph and Mary had a home"
But I think you're pulling my leg.
Odd. I was sure you were pulling mine. Come to think of it, I'm still sure.
To: nevergore
No, Trudeau is married to the Today show host who preceded Katie Colonic. Katie Couric's husband was a news reporter who died of colon cancer. That was the motive behind her on-screen colonoscopy.
