The head of the National Organization for Women's Morris County chapter is opposing a double-murder charge in the Laci Peterson case, saying it could provide ammunition to the pro-life lobby.
"If this is murder, well, then any time a late-term fetus is aborted, they could call it murder," Morris County NOW President Mavra Stark said on Saturday.

NOW CRIMINAL HYPOCRITES!
To: winner3000
You have to understand that there are those who want life without consequence... They want to fight against a percieved oppression in every concievable way.. in order to do this NOW must deny that the unseen is anything other than a mass of flesh. It is to deny the soul... whether you are pro-life for religious reasons or just for the pure sake of human decency.. The NOW gang radical agenda is purely motivated by their hatred toward men and any form of control that they may have.. even to the point of killing off a generation of women that may actually rally to their cause... It is ironic that the group that fights for Equal rights for women and reproductive rights (or the right to kill thier unborn child) are ready to crucify Dead Beat Dads who don't want to take care of thier children.. (not that I support Dead Beat dads).. But it would be a nice stick in the Eye if legislation were introduced for the Male Abortion...
Anytime from conception to the actual birth.. A prospective father in the presence of a witness can proclaim a male abortion. This would terminate any responsiblity for that child.. I mean lets face it... If a woman has the right to choose.. shouldn't the father?

As always these misfit gurlz are drawing all sorts of immoral lines in the sand. It makes no difference if it was born or unborn, or a baby or a fetus. A fetus is still a human life and deserves the same protections and right to life that a newborn baby does. Abortion is murder.

Your Baby: Nearing the finish line
By the eighth month, your baby is becoming her own little person. Weighing around 4 pounds (1.8 kilograms) and measuring about 16 inches long (40 plus centimeters), she is almost ready to make an appearance. All five of your baby's senses are functional: She can suck her thumb, feel touch, see light, hiccup, and hear sounds. You can see other spectacular developments: Her face is almost wrinkle-free, her toenails are completely formed, and she may have a good head of hair.

This could be interesting. I suspect Scott aborted the baby, and Laci died as a result. That begs the questions, if you attempt to abort a fetus yourself, is it illegal? Is is murder?

They sit by during sex haerrassment and rape charges of Clinton and yet want to claim this baby was not murdered.
How much more ludicrous can they get. The baby is dead most likely due to combustion from stomache gases because the mother died.
If anything this proves abortion is what it is, murder.

>>I know many people here won't want to consider this, but I believe the concept of fetal homicide is effective only when it considers the intent of the mother. <<
You are apparently saying that a fetus is only human life depending on if any individual woman wants it to be human life. IOW if Laci didn't want that poor baby, than the baby's life and death was irrelevant. I disagree.
Human life is human life and individual women have no right to decide the value of another's life. BTW, I am a woman and a mother.
To: aristeides
There will be a real contradiction if the death penalty is applied. The Supreme Court has implied in its capital-punishment cases that capital punishment is only constitutional for murder. If killing a fetus is not killing a human being, it would be unconstitutional in this case. But the Supreme Court has held in its abortion opinions that a fetus is not a person for legal purposes.Uh What happened to Laci, does she count?

They only care about ABORTION. That's why they're not "pro-choice", they're pro-abortion. They are also pro-death, anti-life, anti-child.

There is a up to $500.00 (not to exceed ever $25,000) fine to any one that kills an 'endangered' fox, or upsets/touches certain turtle nest eggs along our shores. Under the detailed listings of the federal Endangered Species Act.
There is a $350.00 to $500.00 'amount due' to kill the human species. (AKA abortion) And in second/third human trimesters; scissors are jabbed into the HUMAN head and the brains are sucked out-In elective surgeries- daily, in the United States, all under the guise of a woman's "right." The only real "right" is the "right" to remain silent.
When will humans become "endangered" and protected?
When will the so called pro-"choicers" realize basic science skills of the food-chain? Human's are NOT at the bottom of the food-chain.
Do they really see what they do, with their political correctness all in the guise of a "woman's right"?

Makeover May Mean Scott Peterson Was Ready to Run
Dateline: Modesto, CA - 4/20/2003
NY Daily News
By MARY PAPENFUSS in Modesto, Calif.
and MAKI BECKER in New York
DAILY NEWS WRITERS
Blonde Bombshell: Accused killer Scott Peterson sought a new look - and possibly a run for the border.
Scott Peterson, accused of killing his wife, Laci, and their unborn son, changed his appearance and knew he was under police surveillance when he was arrested in La Jolla, Calif. - just 30 miles north of the Mexican border.
Normally dark-haired and clean-shaven, Scott Peterson had dark blond hair and was sporting a thick goatee when taken to a Modesto jail late Friday.
Cops said they feared he was planning to make a run for the border following the recovery of Laci Peterson's body and the fetus last week on the rocky shoreline along San Francisco Bay.
Yesterday, friends of Scott Peterson said on NBC's "Weekend Today" show that they noticed his hair color appeared different about two weeks ago.
Mike Richardson, the best man at Laci and Scott Peterson's wedding, said Scott Peterson told him he had been "swimming in a friend's pool and it got bleached."
Scott Peterson called Richardson and his wife, Heather Richardson, at their home from jail, Heather Richardson said.
"I didn't expect to hear from him," she said.
Mike Richardson added: "It's a hard, hard thing to even discuss. ... We're best friends with both of them. Now, thinking that he took her life is just a crazy thing."
Tender tributes
At a makeshift shrine outside the empty Peterson home in Modesto, grieving community members left Easter lilies and lit candles yesterday to pay tribute to Laci Peterson, who was 27, and the baby she was planning to name Connor.
Late Friday, dozens outside the Stanislaus County jail cheered seeing Scott Peterson in police custody. Some carried signs calling him a murderer.
A friend of Laci Peterson's parents said police told them Scott Peterson had been arrested.
"Well, they finally arrested the son of a bitch," Laci Peterson's father, Dennis Rocha, told his family, according to the friend.
Cops had been tailing Scott Peterson, a 30-year-old fertilizer salesman, for several days before his arrest, authorities said.
They had tapped his phones, were tracking his car using a global positioning system and had obtained a warrant Thursday for his arrest, officials said.
Scott Peterson once stopped his car, got out and questioned police who had been tailing him.
"He was driving erratically, sometimes looking around for surveillance," Modesto Police Department spokesman Roy Wasden told the Modesto Bee.
The bodies found
Police pulled him over just after 11:10 a.m. as he was driving a Mercedes-Benz near a golf course in La Jolla, close to his parents' home.
Scott Peterson had been keeping a low profile since Monday, when Laci Peterson's headless body washed ashore from the San Francisco Bay. A day earlier, a dog walker found the remains of a fetus within a mile of where the other corpse was discovered.
The remains were found within 3 miles of where Scott Peterson had told cops he took his boat for a fishing trip on Christmas Eve - the day he reported his pregnant wife, a part-time schoolteacher, missing.
Within days of Laci Peterson's disappearance, many in the northern California town of Modesto grew suspicious of her husband.
At a volunteer center gathering, witnesses said they often saw Scott Peterson smiling and flirting with other women.
Nearly the whole city - and the nation - turned against him in late January after a Fresno massage therapist announced she had been in a "romantic relationship" with Scott Peterson at the time his wife vanished - and that he had told her that he was not married.
Yesterday, a jail spokesman said Scott Peterson had been placed in a cell by himself. He was allowed to make several calls and then went to sleep.

To: Clara Lou
Another example of how contradicted and twisted our laws are, thanks to the liberals. A woman can be driving herself to the local abortoreum to commit an abortion, and if a drunk slams into her car and causes a miscarriage, the drunk can be charged with murder.
The really scary part in all this is that the liberals know that abortion is murder, but they want it to be a woman's right to choose it. Stephanie Salter of the S.F. Chronicle wrote as much some years back.
