You are apparently saying that a fetus is only human life depending on if any individual woman wants it to be human life. IOW if Laci didn't want that poor baby, than the baby's life and death was irrelevant. I disagree.
Human life is human life and individual women have no right to decide the value of another's life. BTW, I am a woman and a mother.

IOW if Laci didn't want that poor baby, than the baby's life and death was irrelevant. I disagree. As Senator Robert Dole told a gathering of the Catholic Press Association, "I am pro-life. I am opposed to abortion on demand. But I understand that reasonable and decent people can disagree on certain points."
I'm saying that you stalwart pro-life people could save more unborn lives if you would respect the fact that resonable people disagree that it's not a matter of choice.
If the pro-life movement could agree to disagree, and accept a push for murder charges for the baby boy's death -- but under the condition that Laci's baby was wanted by Laci, NOW would not be able to say anything to oppose that position. On the other hand, I'm not a lawyer, and not knowing what the options are, I would fear any legal maneuvering on the part of the prosecuting attorney that would jeapardize the case against Scott if he's guilty of killing Laci.
Through an unwillingness to compromise, much of the intent of the pro-life's movement is lost.

I was scanning the replies specifically to see if anyone would make this point. The NOW has painted themselves into a corner. If an unborn person is wanted then he/she is human. Otherwise he or she is not human.
Does this "logic" apply to born people?
The headline to this story should read, "NOW Officially Recognizes the Hypocrisy of Abortion".
