They need to take a step back, let someone else confirm it (i.e.-CNN), then POUNCE on it (giving CNN credit - or rather, attributing it to them), showing every angle and analysis.
If I made numerous mistakes in my job in my zeal to be the first with the information, at some point, my bosses wouldn't take me seriously, I'd lose all credibility- even if I was spot on the past 10 years. That's what's happening here. They're already being called the "Bush Network" by the libs and some in the mainstream. It would be a shame to be so marginalized (as I mentioned on another thread - the worst that could happen is having it compared to the NY Post - both Murdoch owned - where it's entertaining but as far as news, sensationalist).

"There are 511 tonnes of uranium compounds stored in a facility known as Location C, at the Al-Tuwaitha Nuclear Research Centre, 40km south of Baghdad. Within two weeks of first resuming inspections on 27 November 2002, five teams of IAEA inspectors arrived at Location C."
"For the better part of a week they conducted a detailed audit. Although the results have yet to be published, it is unlikely that much of this uranium could be missing since this would constitute a clear and undeniable breach of UN resolutions, something Saddam would surely wish to avoid. "
"IAEA Visits Tuwaitha, Checks Radioactive Waste. One IAEA team visited Al Tuwaitha, 25km south of Baghdad to review the status of radioactive waste remaining in a waste storage site. Another IAEA team performed a car-borne radiation survey of Al Tuwaitha."
The entire inspection regime was a FRAUD!

The Tribune-Review is owned by Richard Mellon Scaife, the supposed architect of the VRWC. Their little conspiracy-addled brains will blow up!

They're all claiming that we're going to plant evidence... whatever we find will be discounted by the libs.
Which begs the question... If no one is going to believe us anyway, why not plant?

Well ... how about we don't need to?

"This is not good."
Maybe it is? I like the idea of telling the U.N to go away. I especially like the idea of telling hollywood that the U.N. and the peace movement weren't even a bit effective at preventing Adolf Jr. from doing whatsoever he wishes.

Jessica Ecclstein? My first post and I'm relying to the "FoxBabe".
Hope for better substantial posts in the future.

Anyone know how they detect one element as opposed to another? Would everything set off a geiger or neutron detector, or whatever it is they're using, in the same way? 1. Mass spectroscopy.
2. Standard inorganic chemical assays.
3. Detailed study of the time decay of the radiation counts yields the component decay rates resulting in the total observed count; each of these rates is characteristic of a particular radioisotope.

Re: Linda Vester
Really cute with these stuttered starts/stops in her speech patterns.
I think it means she's thinking about about what she is going to say....not a bad quality at all.

The entire inspection regime was a FRAUD!Of course it was. It's been a sick joke from the beginning.

Don't be dismayed by the detractors. Some of us like a little Disney with our weapons-grade material. Sort of takes the edge off. :-)

OK Liberals, what's your excuse now????See #9: "It was planted". I've already gotten that one personally from the office anti-Americans.

'The reporter said the villagers were using what they called "missile water" for everyday use.....they were using the heavy water the site produced.....'
Can you enlighten me on the significance of this? I don't know much about heavy water, except that it's used in nuclear programs somehow.

"By the way, is there any plutonium that isn't weapons grade? I suppose if it were highly dispersed in some other material, it might not be. But pure plutonium, no, I think pretty much regardless of isotopic composition, if you've got enough of it, you have a bomb. "
Well, it's dangerous (chemically, pyrophorically, and radiologically) no matter what isotope, but only Pu-239 is fissile (meaning it can sustain a chain-reaction: bomb material).

Good Post
You seem to be in the know... so let me ask this...
I understand that plutonium can be traced back to it's manufacturing site, because the process is unique to the specific plant/process/reactor. Is that true ?

How often has FOX claimed we've found something, turning out to be a dud? Im my opinion, they've lost an enormous amount of credibility. Not very often. FNC has lost no credibility in my eyes. What normally occurs is that FNC (or any other network) reports a story. In the rush to post and discuss, the story's qualifiers like "possible" or "suspected" are omitted or changed to "discovered" or "verified."
FNC is doing a fine job, which may explain its excellent ratings.

Linda Vester is my very favorite Fox reporter and she is a Fullbright Scholar who studied the Middle East while doing advanced studies in Egypt.......one brilliant lady. We all were into this yesterday as it came out on World Net Daily and the Pittsburgh newspaper so now it is out on Fox and we are all keeping our fingers and toes crossed that this is not just a BIG but a HUGE FIND! If so I want the UN Inspection team in there to do their verification also but I suppose the Arab street will think we planted it there no matter how we handle this hotcake! This facility was built 4 years ago after the weapons inspectors were thrown out!!!!
