Funny, I grew up in PHX and my family is still there. We've
benn in FL for 14 years.

They're gonna use gas or heavy artillery on those civilians and blame it on the US.
To: ztiworoh
And the electricity is out in Baghdad. DOD is saying it wasn't them that did it.

There has been speculation before that Saddam/regime would force out refugees from the city to slow the military advance.

Where in Fl? Im in Orlando
To: ztiworoh
Well, Beret Boy says we're not anywhere near Baghdad. But our guys have taken SH Int'l Airport. They found a tunnel system there. Beret Boy says even though we're not in Umm Qasr, we're stealing the Iraqis' food.
To: ztiworoh
Near Pensacola, metropolis of Jay, FL.

Please move the chit-chat to Freepmail.
Thanks.

people on CNN probably speaking in grave, slow tones regarding the latest Message from the Iraqi Leader... LOLIt's Judy & Wolf, I just know it.
To: TonyInOhio
I don't understand this. Beret Boy has been telling the citizens of Iraq that US/coalition forces are nowhere near Baghdad. If the airport is under US/coalition control and the Iraqi officials are telling people to go to the airport then aren't they going to SEE that they US is in control of the airport and not the RG?

I think we're only getting part of this "walk to the airport" story.

Hand Slap, Ouch!

Probably a pretty good population density there. People are being ORDERED to do it, and with a gun in your face, you probably would too. I don't have the impression these are willing participants.
I'm sure we have Preditor drone(s) overhead imaging...also, there are other radar planes that could be tracking what they are doing. Still, it could get messy.
To: ztiworoh
Not very much (at least not much reported):
- Troops are performing well
- Saddam Intl Airport is now under US Control
- 9 of the Bodies recovered in the Rescue were US Troops
- A few more aircraft were lost (how many sorties have been flown so far?)
- There are some *GREAT* childhood stories in the thread (if you want to smile, read back in the thread - well worth while...in my opinion at least)
- Not much hard news since early morning (I think lots is going on but not much is getting out - probably best)
