Basar has fallen, in coalition hands. Relief on the way. I doubt they'd say that... *again.*

OK...so my guesses are:
1. Got Chemical Ali (or other high-ranking leader)
2. Recovered our POWs
3. Mass defection of Republican Guard unit
4. Surprise strike from the North using troops no one knew we had (how's that for a battle plan?)
To: BluegrassPatriot
...I wager: SADDAM IS DEAD... Same here. This is too unusual to be anything less than that.

I know for a fact that one POW's family got some bad news today. ; ^ (
To: BluegrassPatriot
I wager: SADDAM IS DEAD... Would they preface that as "Very good news"?
To: Petronski
Where can the quote of the day be found?

Let's see, it was 3 minutes away 1 minute ago and it's 10 minutes away now. In five minutes, how far off will it be? Sounds like my boss when she swears she's going to leave early.

I garner it will be news on POWs - that's the only thing that could be definitive to report
To: PhiKapMom
After the BS that Brooks has to deal with every day, I hope he gets to announce any good news(FOX)/bad news(CNN)
To: Jewels1091
I almost posted like the military -- hurry up and wait. How many briefings have ever started on time?

I hope it's the Iraqis capitulating. I really think it will be soon if not today. I'm an optimist.

Delay because of last-minute negotiations about terms of surrender?
To: Howlin
Evidently that was reported on another thread..."terrible news" in fact. CNN sucks.
