It was much too early for viewer outrage to get him.
This was BIG BOSS outrage, pure and simple.
Cha-Ching! Perhaps concerned that other imbedded reporters would have been ousted? That would have been suicide! $

As of 7:58 am EST Drudge has not posted this. He still has the old story with Peter's ugly puss looking at us. I sent Matt the following email:
Dear Mr Drudge
Hey, Peter, the America hater has been fired! Put that in your F'n headline! Find a pic of him kissing Saddam's posterior and post that!
(Signed with my real name)
Now I feel better!

Fantastic opportunity for Al-Jazeera If Peter Arnett joins them.
Could turn the reporting of the war on its head as the English speaking viewers could get another perspective from this great Arab TV service and would be a boost for this independent Arab TV service.

NBC could really make a statement by firing the person who hired Arnett.

Not to mention the fear of everyone dumping GE stock in protest bringing it down to $18 a share. I'm sure the BIG BOSS did not want to answer the 1000 phone calls demanding a statement and interviews not to mention the hundreds of thousands of emails generated since yesterday afternoon.

Drudge sleeps in on Mondays because he does his radio show late on Sunday nights. Besides, did you hear the Rather tape from last night? Wow, just as bad as Arnett.

As of 7:58 am EST Drudge has not posted this.cut the guy some slack. he cannot be awake 24 hours a day. and he did have his radio show late last night.
additionally, there's really nothing to link to, though i suppose the nbc release is on the p.r. newswire someplace, though i didn't find it when i went there a few minutes ago.

" Let's get rid of de Genova."
Absolutely not. We must make him and his statements the poster of the anti American movement. Let all Americans see who and what these people are. Keep him and his ideas in the spotlight.

What I want to know is, does bolstering the confidence of the enemy qualify as "Aid and Comfort"?
In a word,,YES.
