Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running on the weekend, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

He's got some kind of bracket there, to hold a spare. You'd think if it was upside down, there would be less dust and water accumulated on the ammo?Maybe, but less damage, bent lips, feeding problems if the bottom of the magazine is the end hitting the dirt when he has to go prone in a hurry...

It's a shame we won't be allowed to torture the torturers and show them just what the pain is all about. A jail term seems too damn easy to me.There is ultimate justice.

Hey....Wphile....maybe you could get some reporter/photo journalist to get a picture of that.....(MAYBE?)....Or get a picture yourself and send it to a conservative - objective journalist.

Chemical Prtoection Equipment only proves they intended to defend themselves from exposure. Not true. You wear them because you want to limit your exposure when deploying them and when they come back at you.

I think the ME's on the bridge may be being observed by a terrorist boss to see just what our reaction is. Then they will try to figure out how to get around our response.

It's been posted before, which is why I linked it this time - Rich Galen sometimes hits them out of the park, that was one of them...

They are showing protests in Jordan on Fox. The police fired tear gas into the crowd. Since the "peace" rally idiots here admire them so much, why don't we make them feel at home and shoot tear gas at them here?

My kids want to sneak in under cover of darkness and take it out! But a picture's a good idea. Unfortunately, I broke my digital camera the other day - dropped it on a concrete floor. Maybe I'll go buy a new one today and support the economy a bit. I'll keep you posted.

AMEN, keep exposing them for the fools they are. There is a restaurant on the next block from where I work that has a sign that says "No Flag in the world can cover killing innocent civilians"... I want to get a picture of the WTC being attacked with a saying about "Like these civilians" and putting under their little saying.

Maybe someday Steve, but I'll have to convince the wife and kiddies!!

Maybe a life term at Gitmo with the Afghan terrorists might just suffice.

Which is why professionals don't tape magazines "back to back" for quick reloading.

Those protests in Jordan are worrisome. They seem to be growing and getting more violent. Someone from FNC (Jennifer ??) was reporting the other day that the so-called Arab street has been very quiet. She said there were initial protests but they have since died down, except perhaps, in Jordan.

I'll admit they need to clean house, but one of the reasons the turk deal failed was because they wanted us to hand them the Kurds on a silver platter .. that ain't gonna happen
As for the INC .. Iraq is full of different tribes that have been at each others throats for years .. I'm thinking that the Bush Administation wants to set up something where they all have a voice and somehow can get along enough to bring democracy to the region
