Good Morning.
This is the Daily Thread of Operation Iraqi Freedom - LIVE THREAD.
It is designed for general conversation about the events of the day. In depth discussion of events should be left to individual threads - but links to the threads or other articles is highly encouraged. This allows us to stay abreast of the situation in general, while also providing a means of obtaining specific information.
Please have mercy on us dial up limited FReepers! Limit the big graphics, post links instead. A breif description of what the graphic is would help:
Special thanks to null and void for keeping these running on the weekend, to all of you for keeping these threads alive, the AdminMods for their tolerance, mhking for the video links, and, of course, Belly Girl...

LOL. Seeing someone that Aaron Brown is to the right of is some kind of curiosity.

Tillman was a linebacker at ASU with Jake Plummer and made it in the NFL here as well as a secondary defensive man....became know as a real hitter, a bone crusher
and was becoming better as a class NFL product and 9.11 hit..He left pro football and joined the Rangers or better tried out and made it......if not mistaken, his brother joined and made the Rangers as well...now word is he is in Iraq.

I think so too. The embedded reporters have been very quiet...no Pentagon Press briefing today, shock-n-awe jr...blair and bush pow-wow...no sign of Tommy. (the good tommy, not the manic depressive tommy)
somethings is coming.

LOL Its truly an event

Morning Spunky,
Time Zones are a b*tch.
As I type it is 06:40 AM. The new thread always starts around 00:01 (EST) AM of the new day. There is usually at least one announcement on the old thread linking to the new one.

I have a friend at work who was a former paratrooper for the 173rd in Viet Nam. He was encouraged by the drop, because they have 3 days supply of everything. That means they will DO something within three days. Attack Baghdad, anyone???

What I would add to this thread is this observation.
I have yet to see a homely military man on my tv coverage.
And the marines seem to be the most handsome.
God bless our handsome troops.

Hopefully more heavy bombs!

"someone said they are waiting for the screamer . . ."What is the screamer? A few minutes ago at the bottom of the window there must be a balcony. I saw a man up there sweeping it off and dust just a flying. Now I hear some men talking.

The Fox reporter embedded with 3 ID was on tonight saying that the officers in 3 ID were telling him that in An Najaf they were noticing a lessening of the attacks by the Fedayeen and Al Qud which they attributed to the fact that they had been killing so many of them.
Earlier in the same report he said that over the past two days the Iraqi irregulars had made many attacks which merely resulted in a lot the attackers dying.
He was pretty funny...smirking almost as he kept making references about the only impact these attacks made were that the division had to kill a lot of people. Apparently, the number of kills was pretty dern large.

I didn't get to work on what I was suppose to work on this week. I'm 16 hours behind. Jeez I guess I'm in a quagmire like Vietnam. I guess I'll turn in my resignation and give up.

Rick says they are working on videophone, reaafirming opposition not very good but they are using tanks(?). He says he was asked to give a brief to the troops and he informed them of the good poll numbers. US troops very happy.

You could put Gomer Pyle into a soldiers uniform and he'd turn into a hunk. The first time I saw my husband in his dress blues I about fainted.....
God Bless those manly manly men.
