After Rally Report from Raleigh NC

We had a GREAT turnout for our Rally for America in Raleigh today. Crowd estimates are between 500-750 people. The weather was great, the speakers and singers were awesome and awe inspiring.

I am SO PROUD to be an American and part of Free Republic. I can't begin to tell you the dozens of people that came up to us today to thank us for sponsoring this rally.

I'll let all that attended post their reports here and I'll have the pictures up soon.

I am exhausted, I finally got 8 hours of sleep last night for the first time in almost 2-3 weeks. Last week was really bad, I think I averaged 4 hours per night with one night only getting 2.

Speaking of which, I'm on my way to bed....night all.

I saw him in the crowd, and spoke briefly, but he didn't join us at Tir na Nog.

I listened for a few minutes this morning but didn't hear that.

What did they say?

Um...that we had one with speakers and all....they didn't name the speakers, though. Mostly they talked about the veterans there and how we were showing support for our troops unlike what happened with Vietnam.

WOW we got 2 whole paragraphs in the N&O...they had more to say about the Chapel Hill Rally which is fine but no quotes from any of the speakers or participants in Raleigh???

Re: the N&O article-

That is the reporter that called me on my cell later Sat. afternoon.
His only question was about the Chapel Hill rally (whether we also organized that one).

I tried to give him further info, but he was obviously in a hurry to get off the phone.

It was a well-done rally.
I was there with my brother and his family and it was very good to see the size of this turnout based on the amount of time you had to put it together.

Yes, I was EXTREMELY pleased with the turnout and everyone's enthusiastic response.

To which he said, "I don't think you're kooks. You're just... enthusiastic!
