My question to "frantic digging, Saddam being loaded on a gurney and taken away in an ambulance." is how did they know it was Saddam? Was this a satelite pic or an onsite viewer? If they can't tell from videos whether that was Saddam in the military uniform with glasses on, I have a hard time believing that the satelite picture was better.

Independent confirmation would be required. The only pieces I saw looked like a landscape of moon rocks with a tiny piece of metal about the size of my hand and some rag waving in the breeze near a small patch of ruffled sand.
A long range scud would be quite useless in that situation aginst moving targets and no one, is talking scuds anymore.
The British said they were smaller short range weapons.

The main concentrations of Iraqi Republican Guards are several miles from Baghdad. That is probably where the distant booms are coming from. The ground troops should be approaching their locations today.

Someone help here.
CNN Pentagon report that a chemical plant found in No. Irag under control of radical Kurds? With connections to Al-Queda (sp?)that Bush Admin had alluded to.
Did anyone else hear this?
To: Sacajaweau
Such as the case, I'm glad that we anticipated these actions and were able to change the game plan while on the line, and the other team was still defensive against the old play. I just hope that we can keep the Kurds and Turkish forces away from each other's throat until this is over. If they start fighting, it will get quite messy.

It's quite a strategic position, just east of the Jordanian border and Israel is west of Jordan. Jordan got thousand of refugees during the last gulf war. They have camps set up at the present time but I think we are now blocking the path for refugees and that will make Jordan happy. They are a quiet ally.

Media is so dumb in this country......they are missing the fact that Jordan is helping us and they have a deep sea port we could use..
So we are to believe that those 30+ ships will go right by that port..and go all the way around to Kuwait....yeah right.
I would guess we have been off loading those ships in Jordan for at least a week..

On another thread running today called 'BBC-Applause as Marines Enter Basra'-thread has around 50 some posts just now-there are a few pictures that warm your heart, uplift your soul and bring home why we are in Iraq.
Post #17 has three pictures worthy of a National Geographic magazine spread.
The one of the Iraqi citizen kissing the marine on the cheek, a close up, touches ya incredibly.
Don't miss these-for sure CNN, ABC, CBS and NBC won't be bringin um to your doorstep anytime soon.

Shep helped keep me sane during the 2000 election, I will always have a soft spot for him. I didn't have Fox at that time. I ony had CNN. I actually (Gods honest truth) went to the HOSPITAL for heart palpatations. My heart was fine. Their diagnosis: a PANIC ATTACK. I'm so easy-going my wife still can't believe, of all people, it happened to me.
So believe me, CNN IS DANGEROUS TO YOUR HEALTH!
(no problems since FOX entered my life)
